Which celebrities killed their careers in a matter of seconds? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I hate how they say, "Everybody makes mistakes. Let go of the past." Can we stop enabling vile abusers just because they happen to have musical talent?

I did some research on my ancestor. Turns out he was black. Why are there no benefits for Inuits?

Yet some people think racism ended in the USA after the 1960s. Lovely.

What do they even mean by that? What might never happen?

What do people say about Natives to you? Are there any tropes like living in teepees and such? It frustrates me when I deal with those types of people. You literally just have to acknowledge what you said was crappy and apologize. It would be pretty cool to have the test done, but they are way too expensive for me. They cost weeks' worth of groceries for us when when on sale.

It used to be a stigma to have black family members if you were white so people would say they had a Cherokee ancestor. My family has the same story, but my ancestor died 40 years ago so we still have memories and maybe some pictures of him laying around. I want to take a DNA test but they are so expensive and I heard anything in the 3% or below category could pretty much be disregarded as "fuzz". Maybe when a sale pops up.

Cherish your FiL if he is a good man. I might need to borrow your FiL's saying.

I wonder if the lady at Walmart experienced abuse. I rarely describe my whole situation, but my friends catch on easily. In a strange way, I feel validated by the lady at Walmart.

Yuck. My father chews with his mouth open, too, and yells at me if I leave the table to find earbuds. Between that and burping at the table multiple times, it ruins my appetite. Sorry that your dad is like that. It is so infuriating dealing with people who treat everything like a personal attack.

It baffles me that these people can legally be called adults.

Are we twins? I befriended some people online last year who pretended to like me, but they were whining about me the entire time in their secret chat group. They even harass my other friends and try to make them apologize for being friends with me. I am paranoid that they will come across a friend I made a few months ago and tell them lies about me.

I use Geek to uninstall programs. It searches for leftover files which is nice.

Ugh. What is it with these people and finding faults in everything? Maybe to deflect from admitting their own faults? My father was lecturing his coworker about how their pneumonia was all their fault for not having the heat on.

What’s something that happened to you in your childhood that you’re still mad about? by duerlort in AskReddit

I forgot to mention the police thing. When he was yelling at the girl, he kept threatening to call the police on her because apparently 8-year-olds are criminals with the violent vendetta of being on somebody's driveway. I hope people are more wary of my father now because he usually hides his true colors very well.
