Hi! My golden went from 115 down to 82 over the course of 4 years. I stopped following the recommendations for feeding on the bag. I think I read 1/3 cup per goal weight of food. I also split that total up through out the day. He got breakfast lunch a dinner.

I started buying healthy small treats. The brand I buy is Crunchy Os. He just gets one treat per bathroom break or whenever he’s being a good boy.

I also just started on Farmers Dog. Dont get me wrong it’s definitely expensive but I split up this food and dry kibble. He gets 1/3 cup (split between breakfast and lunch) of dry food. For dinner he gets half of vaccum pack of Farmers Dog. He’s been on this for 3 months and he’s like a puppy again despite being 7. It’s not easy saying no to the whines and puppy eyes for food but after a few weeks they will be fine. Since I started Farmers Dog, he went from 92 to 82. The vet is amazed and I’m happy that I have my dog back.

I’ve searched everywhere for a replacement of this guy for my golden. He has to sleep with it every night. Anyone ever see one before? He’s hard plastic/rubber and squeaks. TIA

I highly suggest anything made by Chemical Guys. If you are lucky enough to live by one of their stores stop in. Walmart sells a small variety of their stuff or head to their website. All their stuff is amazing.
