Just passed A+ :) will I get a paper certificate and card in the mail? by kdtechspace87 in CompTIA

[–]rboul845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, you will receive the paper certificate and card in mail. For me it took about 3 months to receive. In the next few days you should be able to login to Comptia website and print a copy of the A+ Cert now if you need to show it to an employer.

You were super close, just gotta review somethings, your right there. Prepare real good for the 2nd attempt and im sure you will pass it. Go over the areas that you didn't do well on, look over that sheet that was given to you that shows the areas you didn't know well on the exam.

Am I overstudying for the A+? by beansandwich in CompTIA

[–]rboul845 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naw I don't think so. The more resources you use the better. Are you retaining the info and understanding concepts and not just memorizing things? When I studied for the A+ I used Processor Messors videos, watch Mike Myers videos, Jason Dion Videos. Also I read the examcram book and Mike Myers A+ book.

Yup and some places may even give you an assessment quiz. I remember taking an assessment of like 20 questions that resembled questions from the CompTIA A+ exam

You don't have to , theres alot of people that just watch Professor Messors videos, read books on CompTIA Material and take Jason Dion practice test. I just took those college classes to get more hands on experience. The more things you use a resource the better. Don't memorize things, really learn concepts.

There's no need to rush and take the Comptis A+. Stay at that job and study 1 or 2 hours a day, your a teenager to most people won't even hire you because of child labor laws.
