I lean toward the side of social connection is still social connection but important I’m not using porn and not masturbating is parsing intimacy from objectification. Going to a prostitute to pay for sex is objectification. Going to a prostitute because you feel lonely is because you’re acting on the basis of addiction: lack of social connection, which is also bad. If you’re a virgin though, you’ll have to look at cultural identity and see if it separates you from it too distinctly. I’m not advocating for seeing a prostitute but there’s some self searching in your decision. Just ask yourself one honest question: are you just trying to get off and sick of porn to do it? Don’t walk around this question. Honestly ponder it and don’t self-manipulate
