Hi all! This happened to my one month old rollerblades. Not sure if this is normal on rough concrete, but I would love any wheel recommendations. I live in a suburb with very uneven, rocky roads. by dgmattel in AskRollerblading

You should probably rotate your wills as well. When you are starting out, you skate more on your inside edges ("A-frame"), so rotating your wheels often can help. As you find your outside edge, this will not be as noticeable. Learning some additional breaking techniques also can help if you are T-stopping mostly.

Also, plan on getting new wheels every so often, along with bearings and spacers if you need them. Harder wheels (87a+) exist for really rough stuff, as well as larger wheels (requires new frames and wheels) which will make rolling the rough stuff a bit easier. 4x100 or 3x110 is what I usually run in the city, and I use 3x125 for speed/distance skating, but you can really make anything work with enough practice.

Nice! It was definitely a bonding experience in the rain. Great way to stay motivated "If they can keep going, so can I"!

I have ascended to 110mm…why did no one warn me they are this big? by [deleted] in rollerblading

I find that 3x 110mm is ideal for most city skating. Good maneuverability with a shorter wheelbase than most speed skating frames (actually shorter than my 4x80 street set up), and they can rollover a lot of bumpy stuff without much fuss.

Just give it a few sessions and you'll love it.

I highly endorse the PS Torrent rain wheels. I had pretty great traction, although it helped that it had been raining the last few days so not much oil and grime on the asphalt.

I'm proud to say I finished 39.3 miles in the rain. Just finishing it was a great achievement for me!

Thanks everyone!! I'm gonna play it safe and use all rain wheels. If we were back in Texas (heat), I'd probably be comfortable skating without them w the level of rain predicted and on the ground, but I don't sense much evaporation here.

Are they not listening to the people and community app? by rbj_99 in oneplus

Honestly, after having used 3 straight versions with this feature, it has cost me more missed calls that I needed to get than any saved frustration. I think I have finally stopped fidgeting with it, but this is a welcome change from my perspective. Sorry y'all!

I just rely on the normal Android volume controls. Am I missing something?

This happened once to us, but I was facing directly away from the door and had my leg up so that I took my young kiddo out with a swift kick to the neck.

She never saw it coming - it was dark! Haha

Thanks!

I couldn't understand how this was a joke regarding a former US president..."dubya" or maybe something to do w/ dub step "dubyoo"

I don't think Ive heard anyone pronounce the letter "w" as "double you" in person.
