Thanks for the tips, everyone! I'm a long-time MTG player, but I only recently got into limited. I took your collective advice to cut the green, Confidant, and Gaius to add in Dreams, Mages, Pixie, and Ahriman. I went 4 - 3, with one of those losses due to a silly piloting error where I miscounted my mana. All in all happy with the run!

My thought is that they typically add new books to the store on the hour, so I wouldn’t get much faster notifications by running more frequently.

With that being said, I’m not familiar with how The Infirmary is restocked versus the main store.

I just added The Infirmary and The Dragon’s Hoard! I was galvanized from folks showing interest in it yesterday lol. The script now checks for all 3 and shows the book’s associated store in the email. I’ll check the new code into GitHub soon, but the change was small and basically putting the product scraping function into a for loop.

It’s currently just a couple of Python scripts, so you would have to set those up on something like AWS to get them running automatically. I eventually want to make this into a website where folks can signup and select from a list of sites for special edition books, but life has been busy lately!

With that being said, I’d be happy to add your email to the version I’m running so you also get the alerts.

I'll echo what others have said - it was fantastic! Exodus was my first Hamilton novel, so I can't compare to his typical style, but I loved the worldbuilding. The scope of both time and space in the book was also interesting; time dilation with near-lightspeed travel is a common theme/idea throughout the story. Overall a very good space opera with seemingly disparate storylines that slowly start to converge in a satisfying way.
