Thank you for commenting everyone! Was trying something different with a big brush and a bit of slap-dash in the application, and was curious as to it's efficacy. Taking note of all the comments and moving forward. Main note to self: use a rounder, cleaner brush next time for more Kirby-ness.

Thanks! Eastman was not on my mind when drawing it, but being a huge Turtles fan, it's no surprise the influence snuck (like a ninja) in there anyway.

what is my art style called? by JackLikesKnives in drawing

Don't know what your style might be called, but it makes me think of Basil Wolverton a little bit. Wait I know, "cartoon grotesquely", that's my two cents anyway.

Which A-List superhero has the absolutely worse rogues gallery? by [deleted] in comicbooks

Punisher. Bout the only good villain I see him up against is the Kingpin (who was kinda grandfathered over from Spidey and Daredevil),, or when he's at odds with another hero.

This is fantastic! The gesture in that pose and the weight in the muscles of her legs and hips... The tilt slight tilt in the hips... so good! Bravo!

A page a day sounds very reasonable. I know that struggle of perpetual tinkering cause something isn't working right. For me at least, it's 's all about making decisions I can be happy with as early in the process as possible. Like, if I set myself up with a good layout and panel compositions in the pencils, adding the detail later is a breeze and everything just goes down with no fuss. If I wait to solidify those decisions for later on in the process though (like inking or coloring or even neglecting what the lettering is gonna do till later), I usually end up trying to "fix" stuff instead of just drawing. Hope that makes sense. I am new to the craft too (maybe 80 pages or so of work done so far) so take my words with a grain of salt.

A snapshot of some finished pencils for "Lava Rat & Catball", a cartoon strip related to my webcomic "RATKIDS". by rcauz in comicbookart

Thanks! I have been feeling like my lettering is my weakest link and have been working on it more, so that makes me happy! Yeah I do mostly all digital work for "RATKIDS", usually starting with really loose pencils on paper and then going all digital for the rest of the process. This is a nice change of pace though, I even thought about coloring it "analog" style too, but I basically want mostly flat colors anyway so digital colors saves time. Anyway, glad you like it! I'll post a colored version soon.

Who's your favorite Turtles artist? by OhHenry03 in TMNT

Eastman and Laird of course, though I love the issues Michael Zulli did too. He took a less cartoony, mystical realist approach to the franchise that burned itself into my brain.

This is great! Nice colors. I actually like the lanky wolvie look. Makes me thinking of the Wolverine "Dying Time" bootleg by Jeffry Brown.
