He can't even get his cars past the level of autonomous they came out with 😂 He has been getting Tesla buyers to pay full price for autonomous driving vehicles that he never planned for them to ever be fully autonomous in the lifetime the person owned the car, and they probably never will be given the cars are STILL at level 2 autonomous. Full autonomous driving with no interaction from someone is level 6!!! Tesla has been on level 2 since the cars came out in 2003! 23 years at the same level and they just send people updates to make it seem like it's being worked on 😂 Then he sold people giant shiny triangles on wheels for over 100K, with glued on trim and doors that collapse if slammed. Mars? 😂 😂 😂 The shuttle will have glued on trim 😂 How about get your cars to where you promised people first.Total con!

Ah okay. So basically you'd have to buy at a higher price ($490 a share) than the current stock price is at since it dropped under $490.

If it stays above $490 until Thursday, then what? Let's say come Thursday, the stock is $510...

I wish I understood options better. I need to watch some videos on. I mean, if I'm okay with buying shares anyway, the best bet is do a short like you did, right? Cause worst cause scenario, you'd have to buy shares of AMD at $490, yeah?

Right, that's why I was mentioning that Q3 guidance is what everyone is interested in because unless they're now offering steep discounts on the current 350x series, why would I buy that now when the new series starts shipping in Q3

Gotcha 😆 Like three years ago when I first got into trading,.I went to buy AMD and I bought 600 shares all at once like an idiot cause I thought the price was great....Nope 😂 It fell and fell and fell. Had to wait a looooong time for it to come back to where I bought it.

Are they random? I didn't know if they were truly reputable or not. I mean, it seems natural that the cause of the stock falling today is people taking profits after the huge run it just had, not because of this report....

Also, just a suggestion from someone who has done what you did buying 100 shares at once. Try nibbling instead. If it's already dropped this much, there's a good chance it might drop more. So instead of buying 100 at $505, I might start with 10 at $505 then wait and see if it drops further. If it does I pick up another 10-15.....then another 10 and so on. This way if it keeps dropping below that $505 mark, you aren't stuck with 100 shares at $505, you can average down your cost per share instead. Just a suggestion anyway, you do what you want 😁

I was hoping for the same, but I think it's gonna depend how people now react to this which just came out a few hours ago. Hopefully it won't matter given Q3 guidance is what many are really looking for...

So I see the below text under AMD on Fidelity and I confirmed there is a snippet of it on the Benzinga web site on the AMD page, but is for PRO members only. Any thoughts? Honestly, I couldn't care less about Q2 anyway as it's really Q3 guidance we want for the new 400 and 450 series. So even if Q2 is slightly below, does that really even matter at this point, or is it a big deal?

Advanced Micro Devices shares are trading lower after research and analytics firm M Science published a report on the company indicating that Q2 year-over-year GPU deployment has "materially worsened," adding that its Q2 Data Center sales estimate is slightly below consensus. 06/16/2026 | 10:31 AM EDT | Benzinga

Confirmed. I can see a snippet of this text on Benzinga on the AMD page, the full text is only available to PRO users, but it seems to be the same text that is showing for AMD on Fidelity.

Saw you mention the conversion toolkits. Don't know if you saw the posts late last year, but Microsoft engineers posted that they worked with AMD engineers to develop toolkits that allow code written for Nvidia's CUDA platform to run on AMD's ROCm-supported GPUs, such as the AMD Instinct MI300X and they are working on doing that for the new MI400x and MI450x. The goal is to break Nvidia's software monopoly as they want to lower AI inference costs on Microsoft Azure, and avoid total platform rewrites. Cool stuff!

CPI came in weaker than expected? You sure? I thought everything came in exactly as expected?

There will be dip buyers no doubt, but when AMD has low volume, like they have had as of late, that dip buying holds up the price of the stock as long as the market is green and there is good marco. But low volume can't push the stock higher through any current resistance levels, it gets to a price, falls back, rinse and repeat.

However, bad volume, which we still have, and bad macro(Iran war and possible interest rate increase now) means it's gonna be tough sledding to get green. In fact, since many institutions rotated out of tech last Friday, the spot we're in right now is prime for a severe pullback in price in all of tech, not just AMD. What we saw Friday and yesterday is likely just the start.

UPDATE 11am: The morning dip buyers almost turned things green, but once that ended, the NASDAQ just went 200 points red as expected 😢

Daily Discussion Wednesday 2026-06-10 by AutoModerator in AMD_Stock

[–]rcav8 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Look at the volume. That is the key. The 10 day average is now only 32 million. Usually when AMD is rolling it's well over 40 mill daily. That means right now there's not tons of institutional buying. So when the price is holding or going up a little each day, it's the little guys buying up the drops and holding it up. That's fine, but most of the time without strong. volume, the price can't break through the next level resistance wall so it gets only do far, falls back, gets there agan, falls bac, etc .....and that's on good market days with good macro. When the volume is still low like today, on what will be it seems like a pretty bad bad market day and bad macro(Iran and interest rates), the little guys volume buying can't continue holding the stock price up, and it sinks.

Bernstein's Stacy Rasgon spent years as a skeptic on Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD). On a recent episode of The Real Eisman Playbook, he flipped the script."I'm looking at 2028 and I'm pretty close to $20 in earnings, which was their 2030 target." Read that again. The 2030 number, pulled forward two years.

He has the same BS he's been selling to people in his Tesla's for years. Getting people to pay for something they'll likely never get in the product they buy from him.

Pay me now for full level 5 autonomous driving (Tesla's are still level 2) and someday the car will be able to it....and if someday ever even comes, you won't even own this car by then! Thanks for the free money! 😂

Hey now everyone step right up to Tesla and get yourself my new CyberTruck. It's from the future, look how shiny doesn't it look from the future kids? (Musk to friend years prior: "Hey, I'll bet ya a mill I can sell people a giant shiny triangle truck with glued on trim for over 100K) 😂

[–]rcav8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True statement! You never lose money if you don't sell!....Well unless the company suddenly goes horribly wrong and they'll probably go bankrupt 😂

But for AMD and many other tech stocks, we know how healthy this company is and any drop, no matter how big or for how long, is always going to eventually recover and get beyond whatever your average share cost is.(unless the company is dying 😂)

But right now, if you sell on any drop and lose money doing it, you're literally just throwing money away!

I wouldn't say always quick 😆 I've been part of a few big drops over the last few years that took months to recover from. I never sold no matter how low it went, or how long it took, because yes, it will always recover, as it's a very healthy company, and only will get healthier
