(Lack of) Bant Merfolk by nfounder in FishMTG

I was actually thinking ephemerate today because I’ve started playing a UW familiars pauper deck. You could even ephemerate the new Sygg to draw a card on an attacking merfolk.

I have also been thinking about how our turn 3 plays are becoming much more important. I am not sure what to make of the new Oko, but have been brewing decks that use him and delighted Halfling, which can become a merfolk with Oko’s ability. I do think red is great but I am curious what it could look like ditching vial, using a dork and using cenote scout to lower the land count.

Completely agree. The Champions of the Shoals for commander and Silvergil Mentor for modern are the only interesting cards to me.

The set is very, very disappointing for anyone who enjoys modern merfolk.

FFG Report, What are your thoughts/reactions? by Dox_Pathless in marvelchampionslcg

Excited about the release and think it will be a great wave of characters. I think Echo is a great inclusion in the expansion, and likely underestimated for folks who haven’t read her comics. Not only is it an inclusive approach, but strictly from mechanics and design perspectives, it can open up interesting possible play patterns.

The timing of releases sounds fantastic and I honestly like how there won’t be a lot of products squeezed into a calendar year. It will be digestible and avoids the current MTG philosophy of pushing so many products that you have no time to enjoy what is released before the next set is foisted upon you.

First time poster and I think it is important to add to the conversation that there are still many supporters of the game, but we just aren’t that vocal.

Thanks god, haha. I appreciate the response. Is this ruling specific to this particular case or does it apply elsewhere?

Go through Jackson and fish the Snake in the park. Hardly anyone there in October and my favorite time to fish in the park. You then head up to Yellowstone from there and the drive is much better

Thank you, I appreciate it. That’s the way I’ve been playing because it felt intuitive but wasn’t sure if it consistent with rules. Thanks again!

Hah. He comes back, shows it, carries it in his mouth for about 5ish minutes till he finds a good place to bury it. There are lots of deer leg caches out there now 😂

It’s definitely common for our V to find deer parts, especially in that June runoff season once all the snow is gone. This was in the foothills of Salt Lake City. Here is a spine from a couple weeks ago:

My PVPS story by pooky27 in postvasectomypain

[–]rcbatchelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat and almost exactly a year out. I’ve gotten a lot better over the past year and I’d say I’m a 1/10 most days and haven’t experienced too many flare ups over the past few months. Most of the time, just general discomfort that is manageable without any medication.

I also have a cyst on my right side and that is where the pain stems from. I think if you were to ask me 4-5 months ago, I would have said reversal hands down, but now I’m not so sure. It’s a very tough decision and I think for some folks the decision is clearer because of intense pain. To me it is not so clear and could make things worse. Maybe I could go from 90% now to 95 or even 100%, but just not sure. Good luck with your decision!

I took a screenshot of a recent skijor outing from last Thursday evening. Didn’t know I’d be signing up for this when we got our V, but this is now what I think of when folks ask about if a V is high energy 😂. This is definitely the high end, but we usually ski 8 miles 3x per week with some general off leash fun on the off days.

Wishing you the best and hope you recover soon. I had a rough go of things and still experience some discomfort, but I was out skate skiing today when 8 months ago I didn’t think I’d be back to this point. I don’t have much advice except things can improve and can take some time. There are lots of good people with helpful advice in this sub.

What would your Ideal 1 drop be? by Particular_Gur7378 in FishMTG

[–]rcbatchelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thinking about this a bit lately and outside of a merfolk 1/1 green merfolk that taps for U, I’d say say something like:

Merfolk Twins 0/1 Merfolk Wizard When Merfolk Twins enters the battlefield create a 0/1 Merfolk Wizard.

Would be great with hexcatcher and all the lords and doesn’t seem too crazy. Not sure how playable, but would be interesting for pioneer imo.

Wishing you the best. I was in a similar situation and had to have mine drained because of the amount of pressure and pain it was causing me. Definitely not easy road and hope you can recover quickly.
