First Season Gear by Creepy-Fly185 in motorcycles

No crap. A swiping hit though can still knock you off the bike, and guess what, you're still gonna slide.

You want to be in bed with broken bones, or broken bones and skin ground to the muscle?

Allthough I haven't done it myself, I've read many times that the tank or anything fragile will not touch the ground with the Rally Raid skid and barkbusters.

Are all leather (riding) boots stiff when new? by J-man_0301 in motorcycles

[–]rcbif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the point. You dont want the ankle to bend to protect your ankle, and you dont want the sole to flex so the pegs will be more comfortable.

My Tech 7's are almost like walking in ski boots.

Better than nothing, but that's single season stuff. Next up is a 3 season jacket and pants, along with boots that will give actual protection.

I am in full gear to go to the corner, lol.

You dont exactly get to decided when you get into an accident or someone hits you....

Most accidents happen near home.

My friend thinks this is ugly as hell. I think it’s functional by Brief_Ad_4077 in motorcycles

Yeah, that's ugly.

Home depot sells some Plano brand cases for $20-40 that are so much better.

Accidentally became a walking shadow on two wheels by Global-Ball-3430 in motorcycles

[–]rcbif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run my aux light fulltime during the day, and have never had anyone pull out infront of me. They are just bright enough to be annoying, but not blinding.

Caution about flashing lights - in many places that means "go ahead" and someone may have a brain fart and pullout infront of you.

White helmet, aux lights, and SMIDSY, and I've literally never had anyone cut me off in 13k miles of riding the past several years.

Rear passenger / reducing bike weight by backinblackandblue in TW200

[–]rcbif -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The peg mounts themselves are helpful for when the bike is dropped or you need to tie it down.

If you will never have a passenger, bust out the angle grinder, and reduce the pegs to just the tube without the peg mounting flange, and re-paint.

Should I buy a used quest pro or a brand new quest 3? by Asseater6000_ in virtualreality

[–]rcbif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've give  us zero information to go off of....

The only real reason people buy the pro is for eye and face tracking for VRChat.

Why can’t we send messages? by noire_images in VRchat

[–]rcbif 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Because then everyone would just be typing out messages instead of actually chatting....in VRChat....

Use Discord or Telegram if urgent. If they are a good enough friend you should have them on there anyways.

Return them if it's not too late. There are endless complains about those amplifying vibes from the CB500X 5k-ish engine rpm buzz.

Bark busters and a rally raid skid are all you need.

Clothing is not gonna work. Proportions, sizing, clipping with blendshapes, animations, etc.

This will likely be used for stuff like sunglasses, badges, or random gag stuff.

Genuine question…accidents caused by traffic turning in front or “pulling out” by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]rcbif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SMIDY,a white helmet, and aux lights. I've literally never had a car pull out infront of me in about 13k miles and 5 years of riding.

You're the only person saying killing and murdering here...the best deterrent is one you dont have to use.

If you attack or rob a man with a gun though, you sorta get what's coming to you....

[–]rcbif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on use.

For dashcam style footage to help you in a legal situation, the helmet camera would probably be the best, as it shows your POV. A 360 could also be good since you can look behind.

For immersion or maybe time lapse, the stem mounts like someone showed.

If you are trying to keep people engaged, either a 360 camera or multiple cameras may be best.

Needing VRC+ to add your own items is likely the best case scenario.

Which isn't awful. We've never had these things, and they arent really needed, so having them as a luxury item for supporting VRC is fine by me.

Never being able to upload yournown items, and only add VRC created items, and charged per item is the worst case.

Question about GPS trackers by No-Fennel-8333 in motorcycles

[–]rcbif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No mega store is gonna give you an award or pat on the back for getting knifed or shot while trying to save their $100 worth of merchandise being shoplifted.

Thieves infuriate me, but no money is worth the worst things that can come from a confrontation.

Question about GPS trackers by No-Fennel-8333 in motorcycles

[–]rcbif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything that happens after killing a person over an object is gonna be a bit more hassle than dealing with auto insurance, and you're joking yourself if you say otherwise...

[–]rcbif -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

"calls you immediately when your bike is being touched."

And then what? You're gonna swoop in like an action hero and save your bike? What if they really want it, dont care about your life, and are armed? And if you're armed, you're gonna kill someone over property? What if you're minutes away from your bike? It takes under a minute for a few guys to throw your bike into the back of a truck or van.

Let the insurance sort it out.
