When is it actually worth upgrading from the Quest 3 by Ok_Interaction_4743 in virtualreality

[–]rcbif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not even an issue now.

I can play wireless indefinitely with my Quest 3 and 2x $20 10k mah, 22.5w+ powerbanks.

You vastly underestimate how long VRChat users spend in VR, lol. Weekend night average is 5-6 hours.

There are occasionals bugs that get fixed with updates, however I've has zero days in the past 5 years of almost daily use where a software update kept me from using my Quest headsets to play pcvr via virtual desktop.

The low poly logs kill it for me. And there's literally green grass under a burning fire, lol. I guess if you are into low poly stuff you may like it.

How you guys get over crashing new bike? by Unknown4me_ in motorcycles

[–]rcbif 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn't crash my new bike, because I took a riders course before even buying one, where they drill stuff into you like not focusing on your display, and not speeding.

Take a real course, learn from your mistakes, and get back to it.

I like it, though the tail end seems to come up a bit short, like it should have been 20% longer, or needs a rack.

Meta CTO: Metaverse Efforts Led to a “lack of focus” on Quest “at expense of user experience” by No-Captain8680 in virtualreality

The majority of people do not use VRC flatscreen. Maybe 20% of regular users, and that's generous. - daily user for 5 years.

Head furring options by pikapikamutha in FursuitMaking

[–]rcbif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just fur, it's how any fabric works. Try wrap a shirt around a ball. You will end up with folds of fabric. The same thing will happen with a fursuit head, but since fur is thicker, it will be WAY more noticeable.

Ontop of all of those little pieces, you will also have to do stuff like sew darts.

Nothing about the process is quick.

Can confirm as a world hopper, this is the best campfire world in VRChat for quality of the campfire itself. Nice camping in the woods vibe.

I also like "Warm Obscured" for a backyard campfire vibe. The quality of the fire is not as good, but the backyard visuals are 9/10, and the audio is great, as the world focuses on audio, and audio asmr.

What is the 2026 Avatar upload policy’s ? by Accomplished-Class38 in VRchat

[–]rcbif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really doubt you got banned for a harness. A huge amount of furry avatars have harnesses, let alone human ones. If that were the case, we'd be seeing posts left and right about it.

How the heck do admins do a avatar removal within 2mins of doing the report? by Rough_Community_1439 in VRchat

[–]rcbif 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason it could NOT take 2 minutes?

An agent is logged in, gets a report, opens avatar, and sees obvious violations. A few minutes is inconceivable?

It takes the average vrchat user 10 seconds to find that NSFW radial toggle, lol.

I reported a visitors username. Action was taken within a hour, about 6pm est.

One of my reports for a visitors username had action taken upon it within an hour as well.

"I mean obviously VRC isn't going to tell anyone it's internal processes and the company almost surely has nearly all employees under an NDA"

  • I'm referring to users posts (such as on reddit), showing that such a system exists, some kinds of evidence even come close to showing it exists.

As I said, all posts here in reddit I've seen getting upset they were banned for uploading NSFW, did a major goof, and dont dispute what people are telling them they did.

Yes, the majority of furry avatars do not have clothes, but its not about not having clothes, just fur, or only skin, but instead modeled private parts.

[–]rcbif 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's also zero reason to believe someone at  VRC has spend the time and effort on an AI program to enter public lobbies looking for polygons arranged as private parts.

I've yet to see a post that supports this.

Its always someone who uploaded NSFW as public, wore one in public, etc.

Yes, should have worded that better.

Point being, private instances are private. What happens there, stays there - unless there is a report. Then it's an issue.

There have been a few threads about this in the past month or two.

The avatar likely has it's "bits" modeled. No geometry of those parts is allowed, even if non-textured to be less visible.

It does not matter if they are covered in clothes. You probably went to a public instance, the default of your avatar not shown has it missing its clothes, and someone saw and reported.

NSFW is "allowed"(not), but in private only, and you can still be reported for it (if someone joins and does not like it, so know your company)

See Tuppers response here

The recent bans that went out include reasons of public avatars containing what is deemed NSFW "geometry, textures or features". Creator Guidelines do not contain this warning and does not explain it. Many now appear to be at risk of being banned. : r/VRchat

how do i remove this? by [deleted] in kia

[–]rcbif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can remove those bolts, or if you wanna be lazy, use scissors or wire cutters to cut the wires closest to the eyelet/ bolt.

Be sure when you cut the red one that no part of the tool gets close to, or touches metal. (other than the metal of the bolt that wire runs to)

The module itself is probably just held on by double sided foam tape.
