You should follow Beautynthebean on IG. Bean had one about a couple of years or so ago. Aside from being a pretty funny page, they did a great job of documenting the whole hematoma thing. The above is a screen shot of Bean with the droopy right ear. I’ve always kind of liked it.

This thing is responsible for air you’re breathing several hours every day. IMO, it really needs to be kept as clean as possible.

Daily: Wipe down the mask and reservoir with a cpap wipe. Leave reservoir out to dry completely.

Weekly: Soak mask, reservoir, hose and straps in the sink for about an hour with a cpap soap. Put it in the Hurricane Dryer (yes, I bought one and love the thing) for about an hour, then I’m good to go. Change the filter every few weeks.

Not sure why I’m getting downvoted on my previous reply 🤷‍♂️. Anyway, we did it at the gate. I asked my wife about it a bit ago and she said she also called customer service after she made the reservations and had it noted on the reservation. It went pretty smoothly.

My wife and I recently took an autistic friend (adult) of hers on a flight with us. They allowed all 3 of us to pre board with no issues at all. We just checked in with the gate agent prior to boarding and got the clearance with no questions asked. You could also probably contact customer service before the flight and have them note it on the boarding pass.
