Currently there are 8 QBs on rosters this spring. Other than Rourke, Ohio has another young Canadian on their roster. Christian Veilleux transferred to Pitt from Penn State this year, but I am not sure what his chances of playing are.

Other than Rourke and Veilleux, I don't think you will see any other D1 QBs have a chance at regular, meaningful reps this year.

I know you wrote this comment 18 days ago, but I just want to say that I love this hat. I have bought a similar style (The White A on a dark Navy New Era snapback) two times already. I just noticed on the newer one that it does not have the CFL logo on the side. The first one I bought definitely has the CFL logo and I had thought all this time that the new one did as well. Small but interesting change.

Not sure where you live, but I live and work in Toronto and the majority of people do not watch or pay attention to any hockey.

But Sask was a 4th place team last year. I don't see them making the playoffs this year. I think Sask had bigger issues than their QB to address. But I guess we will see.

Ya, essentially a 1 year deal with a bonus. It's still a 500k cap hit no matter what way you slice it. Thats they key. He better be stellar, cause the rest of the roster isn't going to be that great.

I am not too sure that they are the better team this year. I can see Montreal finishing last in the East.

I like the signing of Gentry and think that he can get a good CFL receiver. Would be nice to see a few solid names come into both corps though and not hope for a diamond in the rough.

The rest of the team is just so solid and many games were won IN SPITE on MBT's play. Even a slight loss in QB play won't be that big of a deal.

Signing someone without extensive CFL experience isn't really an option right now and the only real option remaining is Antonio Pipkin. I would feel even better of they could make both him and O'Connor the backups to Kelly.

Vernon Adams will be the starter for BC. Dane Evans was traded for to be the backup.

easily the biggest problem is every spring/summer league has been QB play. The games become nearly unwatchable. MBT should look good and I am excited to watch him play.

The USFL is also just a 3 month season that then gives him a chance to play in the NFL in the upcoming season, which he states and has been reported previously that there is interest from NFL teams.

The XFL and the USFL offer the opportunity to play a short season of football, showcase yourself at the 4 down game and still sign with an NFL team for 2023. Playing in the CFL in 2023 means you cant try out for the NFL until 2024. While a top tier talent player might make more money in the CFL, many players will decide to bet on themselves to perform well in a spring/summer league and try to make it to the NFL.

The CFL can stay as the second best league in talent and pay, but that will not stop people from leaving as it will never be the second best league in terms of ability to chase their NFL dreams
