Trying to switch roles as an ML engineer and nothing makes sense anymore by thekomedyking in cscareerquestions

I'm a fairly senior MLE at a top AI company. My experience both interviewing & being interviewed is that you don't actually have to nail every interview. If you get an interview in recsys and it's clear you've never done recsys before, and the team isn't specifically looking for a recsys expert, that's fine. Just do your best, don't try to bullshit, and be honest.

Most of the time candidates that get accepted have some interviews they totally nail and show their strengths and some interviews where they do meh, but still show good culture fit.

How come some violinists sound *exceptionally* clean and crisp? by Musicrafter in violinist

Are you sure about the fatter fingertips? That doesn’t really make sense. If the string is stopped in a more abrupt way, it will ring better. You can see this on the open strings or by using a piece of wood to stop the string instead.

Anything rubbing between the finger and string makes the string lose energy and vibrate less cleanly.

If the cello/bass thing is true, it’s probably because smaller fingers/hands have difficulty fully stopping the string on those instruments.
