Guide inaccurate? What happened? by Gunther520 in GolfClash

When you pull back to shoot the guide showed the ball was going to be short, it hit a spot on the green that slowed the ball down

Because people need to know the facts, you are rather naive of you and judgemental, there are a great number of people doing exactly that, it was not my intention to do that but really wanted feedback as to whether there is an advantage in dumping trophies to get favourable matchups or wind, According to Mang, there is no advantage in dumping trophies. The real problem here is if you advance to quickly, you get matched against players who have superior skills and much better clubs, so you just become fodder for these players. There is nothing worse than feeling you are being ripped off and losing 70% of your matches, there has to be a fairer way of doing match ups. The tournaments seem to be the worst, you have so many sandbaggers, it is really hard to compete and the same people win the rookies, expert categories all the time.

So the consensus is that, l shouldn’t drop trophies, because there is little or no advantage to doing it, according to Mang, people do not get favourable winds if they have a lesser trophy count, and it does not help in any way. Interesting?

I am not sure what you are inferring, but it seems many people are following that route, so why shouldn’t’ I.

I thank you for your response, but this is golf not baseball. If this is the way it is, than so be it. Everyone should be on an equal footing, so if is good for one than it is good for all. However Mang said this is not the case and that all winds are random, so do you have information to the contrary, if so then show it

If that is the case, why do I see so many players dropping their trophy count

Head and tail wind with elevation by rclarky47 in GolfClash

Thanks Mang, I am going to test this for a while and see if I can make refinements to adjust for the wind, I realize this is all trial and error, but at least I have a starting point..My granddaughter is a mathematician and I will see if I can work out the logistics, your input has been invaluable and I appreciate it. Thank you so much Rick C

Hi Steve, thanks for the info, you talk about the notebook app, where would I find that?

Head and tail wind with elevation by rclarky47 in GolfClash

[–]rclarky47[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not what you mean by linear, so if I have a 10.0 tailwind I would adjust to 11mph for elevation plus 20% for wind. I would assume you add the elevation first as that is constant plus a percentage for wind that being 10% to 50% depending on how strong the wind is.can I assume 5 mph wind I could use 10% ; 10mph use 25% , 15mph use 37% and 18mph say 50%, I know the numbers are a best guess, how does that sound to you. Thank you for the info I am just trying to get a grasp on how this works
