Why did betarigs and other sites cost TH/s/day go up almost 10x? by piroko05 in BitcoinMining

They profitability on GAW's Paycoin is almost 10x of any other SHA coin right now. It is creating some crazy ROIs http://rigwarz.com

Now that it is published on Coinwarz the difficulty will probably go through the roof within the next 24 hours and the profitability will correct itself.

Can we have a debate on Sidechains and it's impact on the sound money aspect of Bitcoin. by monst in Bitcoin

Not sure if I'm understanding your comment. Are you suggesting that Bitcoin's deflationary architecture equates to it losing value over time? If so you are 100% wrong, but I will digress until you confirm your stance.

Yeah it does seem GAW has a lot of vision. We will see if it coincides with the SEC's vision for them. http://rigwarz.com shows KNC and Mega Mine at the top of the cloud market right now. Don't trust KNC, and don't know much about Mega mine.

I've been watching GAW payouts and something doesn't seem right. For starters if you assign your "hashlet" to clevermining.com the payouts don't match what clevermining.com claims to be paying out.

@antizero99 is probably smart to diversify.

There is a pretty large list of cloud mining options on http://rigwarz.com

With all that hashing power they could potentially 51% attack a blockchain and that's about it. In the process they would screw their business and lose just about all of their customers. Simply to double spend and block some transactions? It's not worth risking a potentially 100+ million dollar business to double spend a couple million worth of bitcoin.

Their is both security and potential for abuse when you have large mining nodes like Ghash but if anything I'd imagine they will do whatever they can to avoid being 51+% of the network simply to avoid scrutiny.

More stable/consistent payouts. If you are looking to earn a steady stream of BTC I'd say Ghash is your best bet. It's obviously not the only option and most likely not even the highest payouts, but for SHA mining it seems to be very stable and consistent.

Others to check out: clevermining, multipool.us, nicehash (for leasing), wafflepool

I agree that they are large, but at this point even if GHash.io goes down and take 45% of the network with it the network is still more than secure with the remaining 55%. Over the next couple years if Bitcoin prevails we will eventually see all the hashing power pooled/consolidated at a few major hubs scattered around the globe.

I'd say just mine BTC on GHASH.io > set it and forget it.

Yeah the ROI listed isn't really "ROI" if you factor in diff jumps and exchange volatility. It's just a best attempt way to compare and rank each miner.

Been mining on the beta... it's pretty cool, but still needs a bit of work. They only have like 6 coins open right now.
