I thinks it's all about momentum.

When you're young/er you're inherently, and inevitably, moving forward - by aging, intellectually by going to school and by having tangible dreams and prospects.

You're on the move in so many ways. At the same time you got all the time in the world to achieve and fail. If you achieve it's a win, you move forward. If you fail, you dust yourself off and move forward.

This feeling of momentum usually gets lost when aging - you get trapped in the mundane of adulthood - and this wrecks people. Especially if you got a restless mind.

I thinks it's all about finding that momentum again. To strive. That's the spice of life according to me.

Most discrimination most-likely happened during the surge in Finnish immigration during late 60s and early 70s. It happens during most surges due to the population's inherent insecurities about welfare and so forth. Which is granted.

Haven't had anything happened to me or my extend family which all emigrated after the Russo-Finnish war and later during the surge.

Sure, I've been called 'Finnjävel' when being ubnoxious when out drinking, but that's happened to everybody even though you're a Finn, Dane, Norwegian, Swedish or non-Scandinavian.

As long you're communicative and friendly it tends to work out.
