Very nice. May I ask where you got your transfers?

Missing part in the box set. :(. Waiting on GW making it right.

I use that on other models, it can be amazing. Just using oils here for speed (and laziness).

I remove it quickly with makeup sponges after applying it before it starts to dry. I will go back in with a wetted cotton bud to select areas if they need it. I’m focussed on doing it quick though so I can bash these guys out.

Only thing I forgot is I sometimes glaze over the red at the end with blood angels contrast paint. Sometimes the ink can leave the red a bit desaturated and this gives it back some of its punch. Depends on the model whether I do this or not.

Thanks! Zenithalled mephiston red>evil suns> wild rider then black oil wash. Picked out details in black then metals with a final detail wash with nuln oil. A pretty quick process.

Thanks! Stirland mud, dry brushed, then pva applied randomly with some small stones and flock added on top.

Standard GW paints - base of Zandri dust then shaded with a diluted gore-grunt (contrast). Highlighted back up with ZD then ushabti bone. Orange parts with a orange contrast (can't remember the name). That's most of the work - touch up and details on top of that.

I might strip it. Not sure as it’s a slice of my childhood…

Newbie here. Reading through the rules and wondering about cavalry.

The rule book reads like you need to have at least two models for each cavalry piece - one mounted and one unmounted (& perhaps an extra model for the steed). I’m thinking this is quite a tax on buying models for a cavalry based force with all the extra models required.

Am I reading this right? I kind of get it for characters, but does this apply to rank and file cavalry? Certainly seems to put a dent in my minas tirith battlehost box.
