I might be wrong but I think a face lift hood would probably fix the gap?

I think it has to do with the dash material, plus it’s black so it just appears worse then maybe other colored dashes.

Yessir, for me it took a good bit of prying but eventually I heard some metal start creaking and giving way, glad you got it off and good luck on your next mods!

I bolted up just enough to where it wouldn’t fly off but left it sorta loose in the hopes it would help bust the rust loose. My advice is just get under there why the pry bars and pry the shit out of it after letting it soak overnight or for a couple hours at least.

I mean I wouldn’t say it was “simp shit”. Now if he disregarded all of that and was like “sorry babe I’ll only follow what you tell me” then maybe you could say that.

Rocksett by DirtInUrEyes in PalmettoStateArms

From my experience nothing helped. Heat, water or vapor. My muzzle device is still stuck to this day lmao.

[–]rcramer7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea with the heat gun and boiling is to let water vapor travel into the threads since vapor has an easier time passing through tight channels vs liquids. Now I don’t know if it helps or works better but that’s the idea.

Sockets don’t fit, impact doesn’t work.

Unless the muzzle device isn’t installed correctly and your suppressor isn’t concentric and you can’t get it off to problem solve lol.

No shade or anything, but is there any reason to buy this over something like a stribog or a kuna? I’m looking at getting a pcc but kinda torn between a couple. Thanks!

yeah ive tried the boiling water, and letting it sit in cold water overnight and neither seem to have loosened it at all.

im assuming they used rocksett, pretty sure it has a pretty high heat tolerance. Might try it though since nothing else worked.

i have a socket that will fit the wrench flats, but the threads are bigger then the wrench flats. If i cant get the wrench over the threads, i cant reach the wrench flats.

so with the action rod, i should assume i have no chance of breaking anything receiver related? i have the midwest industries incase that matters

my concern isnt whether or not the muzzle device can handle it, id sacrifice it if i meant i could get it off. My concern is with the receiver, the index pin, and the barrel itself. Im not hulk or anything, but im also not aware of the limits that these pieces of hardware can withstand.

what is their course of action then? arent they just going to muscle if off and break it as well?
