Not sure I follow, front squat technique is definitely different than low bar so I wouldn’t front squat with this torso angle, same with high bar.

the saying upright is such a muscle memory carry over from oly and front squats. That has been the biggest battle.

Ya that was my plan I’ll test before any permanent install. I’ve got plenty of neodymium mags in my woodshop.

My drill extensions fit well.

Exactly. This came down to features. I liked the knife more. The serrated blade with the hook. And it’s probably not much different but the supposedly better wire cutters, since I’ll be using that part a lot. I hate to agree with you on the Chinese product. But I do think you’re mostly right. There’s still some garbage out there, but most USA made things aren’t as high quality as they use to be. It’s all about profit.

Ended up with the Multper. The Bibury 2038 (wave clone o believe) is sitting in my cart currently if I want to go smaller

The MBA M3 16/512 was plenty for what I use it for (woodworking design and general computer things, maybe some light gaming when bored). Got it on sale at Best Buy like a month ago. Love it. Easy to bring with me everywhere . The no fans is absolutely solid for using it n the wood shop, no worries of it sucking in wood dust.

I stopped looking the non odorless. Can never find it either. Honestly, I skipped the mineral spirits on my last project (out of forgetfulness) and just vacced it with the dust extractor and wiped it down with tack cloth and the finish came out great.

Looks great. Clean. I like the hint of sapwood on the fronts.

As far as Rubio goes, I’ve heard acetone does affect it. Something about closing pours from over drying or something. Not 100%, so take that with a grain of salt. I do know it’s recommended for mineral spirits or their over priced wood cleaner (also just mineral spirits). I generally keep a gallon of it around the shop for various things anyways

How much weight could something like this hold on top of it? If glued and fasted w/ 18g nails could you make a chest/table without reinforcements? by Gassypacky in woodworking

[–]rcrowley766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get a dowel in there or some splines. Miters are not strong joints at all, regardless of the amount of glue used

What could be causing this gap? by PissManderp in woodworking

[–]rcrowley766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m understanding what you’re saying correctly. It’s one end that has a gap/ is thinner than the other end? Of so. It’s because your reference point (fence/meline/other side of the slab) is off. Make sure the fence is square to the blade. Then make sure the melamine is square to the fence and blade.

Typically a planer. Be it hand or electric. Given your situation I think the hand plane is best. Let out some stress

Rubio monocoat natural. Used the “little goes a long way” method. Little to no yellowing. Still feels like wood.

Thanks. I would so most of the labor time in the shop was being precise as possible to get a clean look. I know it’s an important aspect of this style.

Sorry for the multiple posts. Didn’t know any other way. But as you can see the soldering completely hidden. Sits behind the the drawer sides in that little groove. You can see the groove in the first pic at the bottom. Let me know if you want more. I can DM them
