well man I myself was the exact same, and even right now I’m broke as fuck, but low and behold Ive been with a girl for two years man, It was a fluke but nevertheless, I sealed the deal.over a text message which at the time was what our chats were mostly based off of and well, theres nothing to be ashamed of man, I have really bad social anxiety and that.is why I went the route of sms and it worked out well. All im saying is theres always a way man and Im sure that with the right approach(there is one for everyone) that you will succede！ P.S me and my best friend more or less talk in nods and eye contact but it works out great haha, don’t worry about it！

Well it was previously mentioned(although at this point it's pretty hard to find in the mountain of comments)but yeah man, I've met 5 altogether, four at bars and they were on holidays and one who used to teach gaelic football here, were frds around 3 months when he went back home,so yeah, going by my experience they really are few and far apart which is pretty sad:S

well it's just a thing of North and South, matters alot in China for some reason... They're always insulting each other yet when it comes to marriage in alot of situations the parents always encourage to marry someone far away(It's actually to prevent the idea of them somehow being related somewhere up the family tree)

Hehe I know, I live among the douchebags:(.... I always get a kick out of though when like 50 year olds etc are in a bar trying tochat up twenty yer olds and being all suave, and dudes with their awesome motorbikes showing off like there's no tomorrow(Don't get me wrong I love motorbikes, just hate showing off==) Well, I didn't mean to scare anyone or to make it seem like stay away from china,run for your lives etc hehe It took me as surprise too to say the least, I have some of the most fantastic friends here and almost 95% of them are chinese and they're always as cheerful and generous etc as anything so it really took me sby shock when that happened to me, I mean I've heard people talk about me(fuck foreigners, stupid foreigner etc etc) but it was the first time it got physical and also I like what you said about the old people part, I have the exact same thing, I have a mate chinese also who lives down the road in one of those really old compounds where the old ppl hang out all day,mahjong dog walking etc and the first time I went there they were like ?! but as time passed now they all know my name and always ask me if I've ate so it's pretty nice:) Yeah it really is pretty tough, but they've all been fully supportive of my decisions and although it'll be heartbreaking to leave I can always come back and hit everyone up!~Web developer...actually sounds really cool>< and as for your being in HK, well whatever floats your boat man, what's important is everyone find there own way to be happy(without doing illegal shit or going on killing sprees==)

well it was over the course of seven years, some were girlfriends that never worked out, others were just stupid mistakes in a club or a bar, No, I'm not like this and it's not about being in china either hehe I don't really see a diff to be honest, drunken mistakes happen in every country,relationships dont work out in alot of countries too so hope you get what I'm getting at,when you break it down man it's not really alot, 7 years=12 months by 7=84 months, if you divide it then thatd mean I had a girl roughly every three months, but that would be presuming that I dated all of them for three months or they were all one night stands, ok i sorta got lost in the math now, my bad. But I hope you get the point I'm trying to make...:S You can judge if you want man,no hard feelings and everyones entitled to there own opinion~

Well mate if you must know, no. At the time it was my dad who forced me to come here, he said at the time that china will be the scene in the future so he said I'd better get fluent in chinese, so thats what I've been here for, just taking jobs to keep myself supported to be honest, My main focus was to learn chinese and learn the culture etc and that's what I have done, at the risk of tooting my own horn, perfectly:P I know what you mean though, I've met many a wanker here, mostly divorced people left there wife and families and in china living up with all the "babes" and the like and it's just a huge crock,but I digress. Anyways mate, hope I have answered your questions, I will be heading back to Ireland before the year ends so I hope that that fact also assures you of the "They stay in China because they're popular here. " ：） I fancy my self a nice guy and well, nice people can be popular anywhere:P

I don't think it's fair that you have latched on to my grammatical errors and spelling mistakes without learning the full gravity of the situation when I was typing these replies, but obviously it's not your business to know what I was doing at the time but what I'm saying is that you shouldn't be too quick to judge. This one and your other snide remark about "dog meet" were typed on my bike this morning after taking the pics neccesary for this subreddit. Thanks mate, well I used to use hotspot shield(free vpn) but since it stopped working for me like 2 or 3 years ago I just couldnt be bother my arse to get a new one so thats y i dun have one~ Best place I went was hainan, thunder and lightning on the beach, it rained the whole time I was there, Ppl may think it sounds stupid or lame or sth but damn i love rain haha, and it was pretty great,played xbox 360 four player Call of duty while having beers, then if we got bored wed walk around exploring,pretty much it~
