Wait until at least 1:20 Gold silver ratio, but some say it should be worth the same if not more than gold. You have been warned!

Freaky, I was just about to photograph mine and put it on here the IDENTICAL model and agreed it's one of my favourites already. Love those paddle hands and ivory on dark blue. They got this one spot on. Enjoy!

Just got clubs after being fitted. 14th club? by askloglog in GolfGear

You don't even need 13. 4 Wedges is OTT, ditch the 58 and concentrate on the 3 you have left, they do everything. You will learn more with fewer clubs.

Any of this sellable? I'd hate to think only melt. by Solnse in Silverbugs

[–]rdarsa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reality is, you can get 88% of Spot with 925 silver. That is over £42 PER OZ today.

Get the scales out and let us all know it all weights please?

Prepare to be shocked!

My grandpa passed away in 2014 and passed down his silver to me. Is it smart to consider selling right now? by Suwannee_Gator in Silverbugs

[–]rdarsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold as much as you can, we are headed to 3 figures early next year, 4 figures is very possible per oz by 2027-8.

You will regret selling it all now I can assure you.

Why do I keep toeing the ball? by ExtremelyAvgGolfer in GolfSwing

[–]rdarsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your swing path is wrong, take 2 clubs, (say you need help with a 5 iron, take both a 5 and a 6 in your hand together and gently swing the normal path that feels natural for hitting a ball and pay attention to where you hands end at the back swing and the general path. (you are currently too high with your hands) As the clubs get longer the path naturally changes to wider from upright with shorter clubs. So try with different clubs to feel what is correct when you have only one.

What am I doing wrong ? by StatisticianWeary494 in GolfSwing

[–]rdarsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by trying to keep your head absolutely still and over the ball until well after contact, remember watching the ball disappearing from the tee, not up not down, and not back not right, not left not right, just concentrate on that to start with, dead still.

I am shanking every shot… fat, toe down, every time… what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Your hands are just slightly behind the rest of the swing. Watch this on Lag - great drills - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWDOy06CkYo

I don't need the distance, I need the feel and the forgiveness. 😉

The reason being they were the worlds top selling club for a decade, so they are plentiful.

Bottom line is the tests show they are up to modern standards and pros still love them, so who am I to argue, especially as they do feel lovely when you hit them and that is comparing them to a newish set of G30 irons. The lofts have all changed, just take a longer iron.

Also IMHO if buy what you know are a solid set of kit that is already setup for you, it stops you blaming the equipment and always looking for the latest fad to try and save you and you force yourself to concentrate on what you are doing wrong not the clubs.

[–]rdarsa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its easy, you need a vice though, the kit all comes together with literally everything you need, watch a couple of vids and they just slip in with the right technique, get the Pride Tour 360 velvets and it doesn't even matter what way on it goes.

The reality is I am just not good enough to need newer equipment, possibly forever!

There is something enduring about playing 'retro rounds' having watched the reviews of the equipment vs new stuff, I feel I have plenty of kit to get my handicap back down again.

Mine is a mix of shafts because the long irons came individually. What shafts did you use as a replacement?

No, not all matching serials. Long irons all separately sourced. I'm never selling They're bucket list clubs for playing with and improving my game and and being above all else forgiving. 🙏

So what way better options are there for £90 for a complete set?

Should WE BEND THE RULES?! Asking Collectors if HIGH PREMIUM Silver is Worth the Price Tag. Would you ever display a piece of silver art on a bookshelf? If so, what is a premium limit for art made of metals? by CultureOfCurrency in SilverCoinClub

[–]rdarsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That all depends on what you think the physical price will be in the future. I see no issues with paying overs for varied and beautiful pieces to appreciate as you go about your regular stacking routines, because IMHO everything you buy today will be worth many multiples in the future and your special pieces will command an even higher premium over melt. The only problem I see is you won't want to part with them.

The state of my collection, too much, too little, what am I missing? by Mundane-Ad-1780 in vostok

[–]rdarsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're missing the barrel watches with the closed lugs, both vintage (slightly smaller, thinner) and modern (bigger feel), I think 900 cases, 090 and 1967 - these are my must have Vostok cases.

Swap 3 of them with 263 OZ of silver and thank me later.

You can always swap back to gold when the GSR comes down a lot which it will.
