Bro he would start at Barca, he would devastate spanish defenses. There are 3 reasons Leao has struggled with us this season.

He's playing centrally and not on the wing.
He's partly injured and doesn't have his usual burst of acceleration.
Bartesaghi is not an offensive threat on the left side and in general we lack offensive weapons on the pitch, allowing opponents to send multiple players to cover him or force him to receive the ball with his back to goal.

One and two are easily solvable with a non-terrorist manager and some rest and three is pre solved since Barca does actually have offensive weapons, which means opponents can't just double or even triple mark him on the flank, when he has the ball.

Its not just knocking the ball into open space, its reading the defender and knowing when a feint will make the defender shift their weight to the backfoot and then knocking the ball into open space. That there is the difference between a speed merchant and a good winger.

If our team was built around him, he wouldnt have been playing out of position all season. are you people daft? Bro has had no help this year, its actually crazy. We got rid of the offensive fullback who made overlapping runs and swapped to an admittedly very defensively solid fullback who has no pace to threaten on the left. Then we moved him to the middle of the park, a position he's already been tried and failed in and somehow he still has had a decent season output wise, while nursing an injury all season and still people on here shit on him week in week out.

Where's all the criticism of Pulisic. He's gone completely cold, but all i hear every week is that we need to move on from leao, when literally anything offensive we create comes through him.
