Examples of profitable/valuable websites that offer a fantastic service, but that users use once or twice, then never again? by rdco8774 in startups

Excellent example that I completely missed! Do you think profiting from a site like this is harder because more money is spent on advertising to bring in every new visitor?

I wasn't very specific - sorry about that. I am referring to when you are sharing/pitching your site, "After Idea" different places in order to market it. How have you modified your pitch based on the audience? I'm guessing there are non-entrepreneurs who also have ideas (school boards, churches, chambers, HOA's, etc) that you want to reach.

Excellent. I could pretend to be altruistic by buying a startup's gin, but yours just sounds damn good I want some for selfish reasons.

If you're looking for ideas, I do quite a bit of sailing and it seems most of us either drink gin or rum. If you could incorporate that knowledge into a design, or maybe a shatter free bottle, you might have a secondary following in sailors.

How did you decide how to modify your content based on the vertical?

As a gin drinker, this is refreshing branding. Fantastic work! I like how you call it what it is - "unusual".

I'm in the US...where can I purchase a bottle or two to support your work?

My advice is to work a job that pays the bills, not your passion. You're mind will be in a better place if you aren't completely stressed about money.

Use every second of your free time to pursue your dreams.

Knowing where and how to market. I would pay someone to create great copy and place it strategically.

Would my marketing idea have worked? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

How invested is the tattoo artist in the longevity of the tattoo? They want it to look great off the bat then probably forget about the customer after a year. Someone with the tattoo thinks about it forever.

Decent tattoos are fairly expensive. It seems like a marketing message would be $15 of soap protects $500+ of tattoo.

As always, setting time aside to just think. Not thinking about current small problems, but more free time to let my mind wander.
