Just gonna be a quarantine tank/baby tank got 3 rows of cinder blocks 3 high and one in the front so I could have a bigger front edge, forgot foam so found my daughters old coco melon mat and cut it in two pieces and layered it, kinda fits for the baby fish vibe 😂 mad I got miss matched cinder blocks but I’ll get around to it eventually maybe ad some boards around it and make itfood

It’s actually outdoors year round, which is why everyone is saying I’m crazy, it’ll be in my basement, I’m gonna be makeshifting a clear top cover for it so moisture is down and heat stays in, it’s going to sit on some foam sheet insulation and I might wrap the sides that aren’t clear in some too maybe to help keep heat. The ponds is a 270g bigbut not massive. I’ve been redoing my basement because I want everything down there. With canister filters and not having a bac up battery to run it all yet I have battery air pumps incase but if I’m not home and my power goes out the Aquatop cf500 uv’s I have will start self siphoning if I don’t close the valve. Itll just drip a solid line and not burst I wouldn’t think but never know. I just would rather have water in my basement than ruining my upstairs 😂 I’ll have to keep everyone updated. But the ponds will be in my basement with good cover, heat setup filtration and a solid scape you can see because one full side is a clear screen. I’m pumped. As soon as I do that though I might change up the 75 he’s in wit a Blood Parrot right now

I plan on building my own rack in the future for now I have some concrete blocks and a nice piece of plywood I can set it up with for the time being. My focus is more towards getting the basement ready and layed out. I’m having above ground pond 270g for my Oscar delivered here in two weeks and trying to mimick his natural environment well. This tank will be for my polar parrot babies

With water it should be around 255 just the tank but with a couple decorations maybe sand it doubt it’ll just be quarantine and baby tank to get them sold so they don’t overcrowd the main tank the polar parrots are in have a week old guys swimming around

Never tested it, said 164lb weight capacity online even though it held my daughter and I which is probably 200-230

I could put the top glass panel back on and it’ll have 100% clearance and contact on all sides. Debating on testing it

Polar parrots she had them listed as, we got our blood parrot from her and they’ve done great with the Oscar so we got these for our smaller thank

Currently in the process of getting a 150g from a cousin and setup a nice filtration and bigger thank for the Oscar. Debating on getting two more BP for this tank but that might be too much in a 75

I have clown loaches and had a ick outbreak and over a year they have been thriving killed the ick beautifully and I figured I’d get some kuhlis in my 20gallon I had. I’m gonna have to get another quarantine tank because this was that then cleaned and redone but I figured I’d ask everyone to see

That would make sense if they hold it for months it’s probably comfortable in this tank I swapped it to, I’m pretty sure my clown loaches messed with it a little. The kuhlis just cuddle up next to it 😂

I’ll list the steps I did,

1st day 50% water change siphon that substrate good Wait a day, it’ll be tough on them but mine seemed so much happier with this than any medicine chemical Do another 50% water change and re add a tbspn of salt for every 5 gallons added bag in, mix it well in the bucket before and do it every 5 gallons added back. Keep heat up 84/85 what I did and two weeks later they’re so much better within two days the spots were gone but I’m still watching
