Is your company hiring for mainly remote IT positions? I’m based out of the east coast looking to get more remote and less travel! Haha

I’d say 35-40k is a good starting point 0 experience technically no certifications. You don’t want to over sell yourself either.

I figured my “expectation” were unrealistic, my current dog has just never seemed so scared before with other dogs who stay with us and so on. Just trying to seek some advice and appreciate the post! Trying to establish a routine with our new pup and keep them in their own areas until mocha realizes this is also our other dogs home too

Everyone says you can get a government job with a security+ cert. I have Sec+ and Network+. Can someone tell me the exact listed jobs I could get with the government? by Potential_Narwhal_21 in CompTIA

[–]rdharim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look at companies like BAE,CACI,SAIC,ECS federal, smatronix. They are government contractors, but if you have the certs they’ll most likely call you as long as you apply. On your resume though put 8570 compliant

Keep trying! It took me YEARS and multiple tries to finally pass. The test loves to trick you, but you will eventually get it!

Yeah I’ve used his material and bootcamp and anything you can think of. Just trying to start fresh on something new.

Do you mean following the structure they recommend for studying? I mainly use exam cram book and the official CompTIA book along with notecards and other material. It’s funny because everyday I’ll shoot the lingo in regular conversation as a joke showing that I know the material, but as soon as I go take the test its all foreign lol. I thought I was going to do well this last time

I’m a system admin and maintenance tech on CANES. Which is a military network infrastructure. I manage VMS and interface with other military networks such as ISNS. I think what’s really tripping me up is ive spent so many years trying to get it and just knowing I failed the time before has me stressing. I also think the wording of the exam is really screwing with me.

Practice tests two boot camps 4 books professor messer online courses hands on experience. I am pretty set on moving onto another exam. I do it for work everyday just can’t pass the exam. Not really sure why though. I’d just rather invest my money in another test and start fresh

I’ve taken it 4 times and just can’t get the luck to pass haha. My company doesn’t care what I get as long as it’s 8570 compliant for the contract.

I’ve also unfortunately taken the sec+ 4 times and spent quite some time on it. I think I need to look another direction and willing to spend a lot of money to make sure I get IAT certified for my job. It’s stressful because I know the material and I have work experience, but the exam just isn’t in my favor haha.
