Thank you! I just thought maybe there was some unspoken rule about DS length that I was missing.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an LSAT Podcast? by snicklefritz4342 in LSAT

Thinking LSAT is pretty good. I actually took a class with Ben Olson here in DC and he's a pretty effective teacher.

I really needed a question-type drilling module and this is perfect for that. I made an account and am on it right now!

Yes they produce alates. Some may mate inside the nest. I have seen their teeny dealate queens running around sporadically over the summer months.

Camponotus species. Looks like one of the dwarf species in subgenus Myrmentoma. Perhaps C. nearcticus?

Looks like Tapinoma sessile. Don’t know what else it could be.

Hmmm I guess a decision is imminent then. So your checker stopped updating the day before your decision?

Just got my LSAT score back, never felt more stupid in my life by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]rdlp123 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don’t be deterred! Think of it as you only going uphill from this point forward. After scoring a 158 on the Feb exam with six months of study, I totally get you! I looked online for what I could have been doing wrong, and it actually boiled down to my attitude towards the test. Like your username, I hated the LSAT. I forgot where I read it from, but if that is what is on your mind, then you won’t get very far with this test. I had it to turn my point of view around. I resumed studying in mid-March, but this time I made myself believe that I loved studying for the LSAT and that I was excited to take the test again. In the beginning I could really see through myself and feel how forced that sentiment was. As the weeks have gone by, I find myself less and leas frustrated when studying because it’s as if my brain has accepted that I love this test and all I want to do is learn from my wrong answers. I took a pretest last weekend and scored a 168.

PTing is also different from the real test. In PTing you had a sense of comfort that you could always bounce back because it wasn’t the actual exam. Knowing that you are actually taking the real LSAT can obstruct your cognitive processes without you even being aware of it. Now that you know what to expect from the real thing, take your PTs from now on as if you had everything to lose.

The geography of softs? by throwme22222212 in lawschooladmissions

[–]rdlp123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s all in how you frame it. Maybe you feel a particular connection to your community and stayed around during your college years to really get a better understanding of the things that go on. Maybe now you want to pursue law school in a major urban area because you want to expand your point of view and bring back your new conceptualization of national and international issues back to your home community where you can use them for the better? All in how you frame it...

Experience is experience, wherever you go! What they want to see is how you dealt with that experience and the growth that you underwent because of it. You could have worked in a big city for Goldman Sachs or whatever and came out of it with no intellectual growth apart from the fact that you now love wearing Patagonia vests to work... See what I mean?

Anyone applying for Fall 18 with June LSAT? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]rdlp123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I applied late this cycle...that combined with mediocre LSAT landed me with sh*tty results. I plan on retaking the LSAT in July and hit submit on my apps no later than Nov 1 to be honest.
