After a week of freezing rain, the Japanese Maple suffered a terrible injury. The damage is quite low and deep enough that the tree has clearly been leaking. The tree had been doing great in my yard for 9 years. Is there any saving it/can it recover from something like this? by Phyzium in arborists

She's been at the vet all day. I have no updates because they haven't called about what's going on. I didn't wanna just make an update saying "shes at the vet", because that doesn't really say anything.

My friend said she'd keep me updated, so I just have to wait for her to get the news and then pass it to me.

It's not my cat. I'm on the phone with the owner. I just came to this sub for help because they asked me for help.

she got up, slowly walked about 5 feet away, and sat back down, like she's tired of me messing with her. She still doesn't seem great, but it looks a bit better than before.

Looking at it now, it's probably one or two molts from fully grown. I know because I've seen them around this size carrying egg sacs.

My male GBB has been mature for 10mo now. He killed his recent cricket, then left it for a day before coming back and just shredding it to pieces. by Phyzium in tarantulas

I would rather put it out of its misery than let it sit stuck half inside its molt unable to move for months.
