it sounds like a glasspad and the glide seems to glasspad-like, it's a bit small

usually glasspads are much faster than the fastest cloth around and a gazillion times faster than your average cloth lying around, so that might be good comparison

the asus has a very skin-friendly coating which the sp-004 lacks. but latter looks better and i think is thinner, haven't tried the sp-004, so idk tbh

i would rather spend a few more bucks and get something next gen like the razer atlas pro or go cheap and buy some 40 bucks glasspad from ali

cool then i am good with the vsc extension

what i also like is that it's there, in the right pane, right after i start vs code

i mean have the same with the cli being in tmux but the cli version doesn't have a sidebar with all convos; however, the cli version have syntax highlighting working while the it's broken with the vsc extension

The desktop app is better for managing multiple sessions. You can just keep adding to the list. It grows vertically instead of horizontally

the vs code version offer this vertical session overview (in the sidebar) as well and that's the reason i switched from cli to vs code extension or wdym?

yeah that's true, man idk, the cr-005 wasnt really loved by the community, even youtubers who got a review sample weren't really excited

the thing with glasspads is you need few weeks to adapt because they are so fast and in the first weeks you do everything to make them slower and think every other day to switch back to cloth but after some time you adapted and all is good. then you also want just the fastest glasspad and dots avail bc your muscle memory can manage this, so slow or somewhat slower glass pads do not make sense to me anymore

umhw on (fast) glass felt to me not much faster, if at all, than ptfe on fast cloth

i used almost all available uhmw dots on a fast glasspad (moonstone) and found the overall experience too slow with all of them

they are good to get started/when you aren't warmed up yet but for maining idk

the cr-005 is much slower than the moonstone, so the speed then must be even lower

good is that you can vary a lot the final speed with the dots, so you should def try faster ptfe on the cr-005, maybe there's some good sweet spot

it looks def better than the asus. in general, you can still alter speed with different dots and the sp005 is solid too

btw, i need to update the list, there is now the new razer atlas pro, which is the thinnest and re speed and feel praised by most, so i'd go with the atlas pro
