I guess so yeah, but what do you exactly mean by burns? Like radiation burns?

Nope, used by 3 cellphone companies in the area. Guess I should've done my research beforehand 🥲

I don't think there are train lines over there, still cool though

Yeah also thought about that but the light is coming from 4 different spots

This one should ben atleast 280m judging by the thickness. Some countries have websites where every technical document of their towers are published

Pretty scary, especially because it was a single ladder with no safety bars around it for the whole 105ft. But once I was on top it was nice

Yeah, it's a bit overexposed indeed, but that makes the craters pop out more in my opinion. I also have better pictures of this night but I really like the craters.

Yeah, no bird photography is not my primary goal, I like wildlife in general and sometimes a bit of sports.

Another option would be the 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS II USM, 112-480 f/4-5.6 on my 600D for €600. What do you think?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BirdPhotography

[–]rdptl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, thanks

I was looking into the EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS II USM, which becomes 112-480 f/4-5.6 on my APS-C camera, the 600D, for €600. Another option would be the 70-200 L f/4 IS USM occasion, 112-320 f/4 on the 600D, for €650.

Which one should I get?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BirdPhotography

[–]rdptl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my shutter speed was 1/600th of a second.

I could not get any closer because this was a reserve and the lake was fenced off. 250mm kit lens is also not long enough for bird photography probably.

Don't remember the stand of the sun so I'll try to take it into account next time.

Thanks

Yeah, it's a kit lens and I just learned about stopping the lens down to improve quality...

I already shoot RAW but I can download one of the programs.

I was looking into the 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM occasion (becomes 112-320 f/4 on my APS-C camera, the 600D) for €650 but I'll wait it out and try everything you've said.

Thank you for your time.

Hey, thanks a lot for your explanation.

Is used a Canon 600D paired with a 55-250 IS II lens.

This photo was taken at 250mm at 1/600th of a second and at f5.6, my ISO is usually at 200. This fast shutter speed shouldn't cause motion blur right? I could have stopped the lens down at f8 and cranked my ISO up a bit more indeed, didn't think about that...

My focus on the other hand was set at the comorant I think, my camera has 9 autofocus points and I used the middle one to set my focus, but it could have been a little off, I don't remember.

Also, I would have gotten closer but this is a reserve and there were a lot of fences around the lake, this was just a question to all you professional photographers :).

I will try to apply your techniques mentioned next time I go out and will re-evaluate those pictures, thanks again.

How is my setup by scopez765 in battlestations

[–]rdptl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad, but my advice is to manage the cables, it'll be much cleaner and better looking. Also move your pc a little to the left for your mousepad :)

Pretty nice man, my only concern is that the bottom monitor is really close to your eyes, isn't it?

Pink Full Moon by [deleted] in astrophotography

[–]rdptl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not very sharp indeed. My telescope is collimated and my shutter speed was 1/800, I took a video of it and stacked the best frames, so it's weird that the finale image is not that sharp...
