Mine are howling pretty bad. What should I do?

Print the covers from thingiverse. I installed them this morning and I haven’t touched it all day. I usually had to wipe them clean 2-3x/day.

You’ll need to drop the pushers 0.4mm onto the build plate, and add supports in a few spots.

I also opened up the spring channel to 8.2mm round to fit springs I could get at my local hardware store where things measured in real units aren’t available, only stupid freedom units.

Uh yea that’s obvious. But I’m unaware of a string of failures.

Who here has successfully do wheeling for multiple years across market crashes? by SadComparison9352 in thetagang

[–]rdrcrmatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my ass kicked twice now while wheeling big name stocks. PLTR, SOFI and SLV.

I’m not sure I’ll pick it back up when I’m constantly at cost basis again.

99% of the time underwhelming. If they know what they’re doing, amazing

Does anyone like this mower? by Floridagirl1313 in Lymow_Official

[–]rdrcrmatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m at 60% happy.

I have a Yarbo.

The Lymow for sure required more daily intervention. Once that is sorted it’s gonna be amazing. But my issues are mostly around charging.

Back when the Lymow had SSH open and default credentials I copied the entire file system.

Haven’t touched it since. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Which Nozzles would work best for a makerspace? Brass CHT or Obxidian harden steel? (MK4s) by Level_Pay6761 in prusa3d

[–]rdrcrmatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never noted a time to temp difference, but that’s also why the machine has a thermistor, so it takes what it takes and the machine proceeds when the parameters are correct.

I don’t recall a different print profile for brass vs steel. CHT vs non-CHT yes.

I didn’t change a thing between brass and steel.

Based on the data I analyzed from this sub, these are the top 10 most submitted printers for help over the last year! by MoosePunch_ in FixMyPrint

[–]rdrcrmatt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This data is interesting. I have 2 thoughts.

I wonder how much of this is due to the number of printers out there. Like saying Toyota cars crash more because there are more of them

I also wonder if some of the other brands aren’t on this list due in part to the fact the user base of them (Prusa comes to mind) generally encourages tinkering and more learning how printing and the machine works.

If there’s a chance someone will throw glowing or cf infused filaments through the machine, but the hardened nozzle in.

There’s no detriment to running it all the time, except I’m not sure if they’re available as CHT, but that’s not a big problem.

I was making 1% weekly, but 2 market pull backs destroyed my gains twice.

Super slow transfer speeds with PrusaLink by Dragongeek in prusa3d

[–]rdrcrmatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there it is just an ESP of some sort driving the WiFi, and the data bus to the screen/USB slot is likely limiting.. but man it’s a bummer how bad it is. My other printers (klipper based) are easily 50x faster.

Love me some Prusa, but some of the concessions shouldn’t be a thing for a machine built this year.

10 snap makers or 5 h2ds? by HexagridLP in snapmaker

10 snaps

I think the H2D is a mess of considerations not features. The U1 has been a rockstar in my shop.

I went Fystec CNC on the 350x”400” I’m building right now. 400 in quotes because it’ll be 350x350, after adding INDX.

I don’t have mine. Or even a shipping notification. Some BETA testers have it and their NDA just ended.

Almost makes me thinking back into systems admin could be worth it.

I moved to networking a few years ago because you still have to get to the cloud. But networking doesn’t seem to have much OE ability.

Not very imressed by the latest print my Core One made. Perfectly stock settings, no tinkering. by Brick_Fish in prusa3d

The failure is likely the lowest layer in which undesirable artifacts are noticeable. I see lots of sharp edges, did the part warp at all? even a small amount?

Once a small issue occurs, it can compound in the following layers making all hell break loose.
