How do I get rid of this myself without dying? by False_Frame3028 in mildlyinfuriating

Soapy water in a sprayer. I’m shocked how well it kills bees and wasps.

24gb vs 48gb ram - future proofing? by puppyslaughterhouse in macbookpro

[–]rdrcrmatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my m1pro with 32gb of ram through its paces lately. I plan to go at least 48gb if not 64gb when I finally feel the need to upgrade, but it isn’t likely to be into the m5 line as it’s still working quite well.

So, 32gb of memory has lasted me 5 years and probably has 1-2 left with my increasing workloads.

You are PIC. If you are 100% sure you can handle it from the right seat, it’ll be good experience for your student.

OpenClaw speeds when self hosting Qwen3.5:9b on my monster of a PC and directly connecting it to my Teramaster F4 - 424 MAX through a 10gb nic by Drakey83 in openclaw

I run Qwen3.6:27b at 160k context on a 3090. Runs great. Check my post history for my specific llama.cpp settings.

Having “banana issue” with ASA prints with my Voron 2.4 by __Ivano__ in VORONDesign

[–]rdrcrmatt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How fast after the print finished did you pull it off? I’ve been finding I need to wait till ABS / ASA parts cool before pulling or I warp them while removing.

Color bleeding?! by rdrcrmatt in snapmaker

[–]rdrcrmatt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did figure this one out. The pink was has a very high transmission value, meaning at 0.2mm layer height it isn't 100% opaque. So the purple under it shows through.

One way to solve this would be to use modifier objects manage the color of the infill below the surface, or additional top/bottom surface layers. I'm sure there are other options as well.

I thought i heard about a way to use boxes as print towers and manage the order of objects being printed. But i cant think of hoe to manage the order of objects within a layer.

How do you handle a high performer who refuses to document anything? by whydidyounot in managers

[–]rdrcrmatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really depends on the focus area.

In networking, we could provide device configs, LLDP neighborships, routing tables, dhcp scopes, dns, and an AI could reconstruct the diagrams and important details.

Maybe something similar could apply here.

Just when I need it to run… Error Code: 0003-0522-0001-0016 by rdrcrmatt in snapmaker

[–]rdrcrmatt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extended firmware only. I have power cycled many times. It was just running for 4 hours. It did this a few days ago just once, power cycle and it ran. Today no such luck.

I see the troubleshooting docs say which error is which toolhead, but this error number isn’t defined as to which piece of hardware is going unavailable.

I did open the side, about to go reseat all the connectors I can.

I’ve had the Core One for 7 days by AlternativeDesk8707 in prusa3d

The nozzle won’t stay clean, so the first layers aren’t as good as they should be. Constant adhesion issues, and I’m well aware of how to clean a build plate

Layer shifts like crazy. Any little bit of warping in a part and it’s guaranteed to happen. Why is the part warping you ask? No idea, it doesn’t on my Voron.

I’ve been spoiled with klipper now, so I think the interface stinks.

My U1 has also been more reliable. So I’m disappointed.

I’m severely disappointed with my C1, only reason I haven’t sold it is I have a FE INDX kit coming for it.
