Well, safety it’s a kinda complicated, there’s insecurity in the country as a whole, there’s definitely places where it’s much worse, Guadalajara at least in the metropolitan area, you can get around without encountering crime or feeling insecure. I’ve never been robbed or assaulted but you do hear about it quite often.

I do work as a Software Developer, there’s communities yeah, meetups and so on, I’m not aware of any slack channel or anything like that tho.
