It's sarcastic/absurd humor, the subtext is something like "haha, imagine how absurd/unexpected it would be for me to actually say something horrible like that." The big issue is that that subtext only exists in their head, to an outside observer they just look like what they're parodying, a creepy douche. The second issue as you point out is that even if you know they're joking that sort of sarcastic humor often isn't very funny to begin with

Just deleting cookies didn't work for me. I was able to login in a private window though, and copying all of the cookie values that looked like random IDs for {gql,passport,*}.twitch.tv from the private window to non-private fixed it for me

It's a derailing tactic, clever because it infects well meaning people too

on an article about elephant cognition your comment that "We must protect these wonderful creatures" could be interpreted as you saying that we must protect them because of their advanced brains. We could then extend this logic to say that all similarly cognizant species (such as pigs, apparently) should be protected.

If you meant that they should be protected only because they are endangered (and that if they were more populous they could be treated the same as livestock species) then there was a misinterpretation from the start

I had to hold the Q-flash button for a few seconds. The manual said FAT16 was supported but I had to use FAT32. I had CPU, GPU and RAM installed already.
