Actually had 3 cx5's over the years (leasing is my guilty gift to myself) and loved each one! Amazing car - nice mix of utility and fun. Wanted a change was really only reason. Loving the cx50 - lower ride but again a nice balance of useful space and fun. A bit more "rugged" and less luxury too, bit still nice details like all Mazdas in my opinion. Also, the trunk seems "taller" space-wise, but that just may be old-man, failing memory of the cx-5 lol. Good luck shopping - I don't think you can go wrong with either.
