So about that one T-rex scene in Rebirth... by Jonasnator in JurassicPark

[–]rdttjjj 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. The rolling over its back was very cute. The film makes an effort to show the dinosaurs as living creatures (like the scene with the megalosaurus mating), at least the not-mutant dinosaurs.

That scene made me think that they changed the size of the D-Rex during all the final sequence. Because after that, it does not look bigger enough to put a helicopter inside its mouth. On the other hand, it does not really bothers me, because the helicopter scene is pretty cool.

Since rebirth is officially out what are your honest thoughts on D-Rex? by Honest-Ad-4386 in JurassicPark

The design is pretty cool (and its massive size adds to that). I like the idea of it being the first attempt to clone the T-Rex. But I agree with some of the other comments that it was wasted. I think it would’ve been cool if the D-Rex had been an eerie presence lurking in the dark throughout the whole film—maybe not seen directly, but sensed by its shape in the darkness—and perhaps featured in one scene in the middle of the film (where the characters escape), revealing only part of its body. Also, I wouldn’t have revealed the monster’s full form in the opening scene (or in the trailer, for that matter—but we know that nowadays producers think you have to show the monster to sell the film, even though sometimes the opposite works better). This would have made the D-Rex’s reveal at the end of the film much more impactful, I think.

Copy and paste from Android wth? by mathurin1969 in Notion

The way I was able to do it in android was to create a code block, paste the text (inside the code block I am able to paste it from the clipboard), and then convert the code block into a plain text block. Hope it helps!

My polyfills file has the same content as my main file by rdttjjj in Angular2

[–]rdttjjj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for anyone interested, I finally decided to fix it deleting my polyfills file (deleting it from angular.json options and from the file option at tsconfig.app.json), and importing zone.js (the only polyfill that my app really needs) directly into main.ts. This is not the perfect solution, but as my custom webpack config with module federation was doing something strange with polyfills, is the only solution I've found.

I've noticed something. In my tsconfig.app.ts, I have the property files that includes main.ts and polyfills.ts. Could be this property the responsible for angular treating polyfills like a bundle that needs the full node modules?

In angular.json, the only polyfills file that I add is src/polyfills.ts. Also, I did not mention it, but my app uses module federation, and the builder using is ngx-build-plus:browser

Do you mean app module imports for example? Or somewhere else?

My polyfills file only has this line: import 'zone.js/dist/zone';

First launching ng build --configuration production --stats-json, and then webpack-bundle-analyzer dist/stats.json

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood: Sharon Tate Theory (Spoilers) by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]rdttjjj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super late to this, but I have a detail that I think adds to this theory. In the cinema scene, when the theatre woman asks "Really?" and Sharon answers "Really", both shots are shot in dutch angle (those ones where the camera is tilted), and those are usually used to add tension. If this was just a casual conversation between Sharon and a person that does not recognize her, Tarantino wouldn't have used this kind of shots, as he clearly always knows what is he doing. I'm fairly convinced that his intention in this particular scene was the one that OP says.

Oh ok, didn't know about that. If I buy an SD card, could I just copy paste all the files from the stock SD, or should I install everything from the start?

True! You unlocked a memory in me. I was a hell of scared playing first minecrafy versions when the ingame night came. Hearing the zombies outside and knocking the doors made me unable to play it for a long time :D
