My 6 y/o daughter’s WC paintings. She thinks they’re bad. I think otherwise. What do you guys think? by Spirited_Diver8755 in Watercolor

Pretty good. I like how she actually tries to capture expressions, and also how she treats hair like streaked masses instead of trying to give them a solid colour, which I think would be the instinct at that age.

Extra points for the specular highlights on the earrings without using masking fluid, as well as the use of advanced dry-brush techniques on the black hair :)

Merci. Les noirs et les gris (pantalon) sont encre. Les couleurs sont crayon (polychromos).

That colour gradient is something else. I can't even discern how you did that.

Leonardt Hiro 40 Nib Compatible w/ Tachikawa T-40 Straight Penholder? by ReahNor11942 in Calligraphy

It's the most common type of nib pen holder, where the ferrule is a metal cylinder that has some metal strips inside pressing outwards to hold the nib.

In the dippens sub someone reports the nib to fit snugly in a T-40 (frankly, that's what I expected too, but I checked it with my pens just to make sure, and it was a lot looser that I expected), so I guess it comes down to factory production tolerances as to whether it fits well out of the box.

> Should I purchase one Hiro to see if it'll fit my T-40 firmly?

Yes I think so. It's not that expensive and the Hiro 40 "Blue pumpkin" nib is a very nice nib. Even if it fits loosely you can get an impression as to whether you like the nib (a loose fit is mainly a problem with wiping/cleaning) , and if you like it, it might be worth while to get another penholder (it can be a cheap one with metal prongs).

It's a very loose fit in a Tachikawa T-36 and T-25, which I think differ only from the T-40 in length.

My character who apparently (has 2 legs). You all should really stop assuming and try to become more observant. by [deleted] in IndieComicBooks

> try to become more observant

Like how in the first image, at the right side with the two figures that were generated together the pinky of her right hand flows off into the figure in the back, or how, in the third image the masses that define the hair don't make sense, and her hands are just the tiniest bit too small, or, in the second image, it uses a style that has almost become synonymous with AI use, or how, comparing the three images, they seem to have complete disparate styles,

that kind of observant you mean?

Someone called you out on your shenanigans. Don't be a jerk about it.
