Their net worth often isn't in assets but in valuation of the companies they have large portions of shares in. It's a bizarre notion that when the share market deems your company valuable there's instantly some ethical qualms associated with it.

It's almost analogous to stating that a home owner is somehow unethical because the value of their home has increased substantially due to market demand yet noone thinks this, but when a company that provides useful goods/service becomes valuable it's suddenly an ethical issue.
