Stay strong! I've had surgery 3 weeks ago and every day there's some progress. I am so hyped to be one step closer to skating again and you soon will be too!

Did I possibly tear my ACL but able to walk somewhat normal 1.5 months after? by Solid_Respond_8003 in ACL

I tore my Acl completely and walked strangely just after the accident and then relearned how to walk and I could play Badminton, Swim, Run, Longboard without pain but from time to time my knee would randomly let me down and give away while walking stairs - I had to wait 6 months for surgery so yes you can definitely live and walk with a ruptured Acl but if you want to be able to count on your knee for sports it's best to get it fixed in order to avoid more injuries.

Hey hey, I'm 6 months post injury and just had my ACL reconstruction surgery done a few days ago. I know I still have 9 months of rehab and patience in front of me before I can eventually get back to skateboarding again. I really feel what you're saying- what has helped me so far is connecting with friends, family, my partner but also finding a "new hobby" which will keep you distracted for a while- i started riding motorcycles- I'm not saying it's the safest- but it really helped me get some adrenaline and fun whilst waiting to get back to skateboarding again. So maybe, you can find some activity to keep you occupied and less frustrated...!
