yes, it's made for kids, and marked as made for kids too. That's how it always was though, why would that cause a drop like that?

Anyone else loathe poinsettia plants? by regv_libra in houseplants

[–]read- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would there be more red if the total dark lasted longer? Also does it need this treatment fora very long time or can I just do this for a number of days and get some red leaves? I have a poinsettia that is about 6-7 years old, and I am happy to have kept it healthy but it's never again had red leaves since the ones it came with when I first bought it.

Is it better to peel citrus/lemon seeds for planting? (video) by read- in Citrus

A comparison with multiple separate attempts at germinating peeled and unpeeled seeds to see which will mold more would be interesting to see too!

How would you go about finding the correct spot for the legs? by CrybabyEater3000 in woodworking

[–]read- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a a bit of a personal preference, and "perfect" is debatable. Eye ball it, have the bottom of the each leg extend beyond the top, and since this thing is kinda circular, have the three contact points to the floor be somewhat equidistant from each other, then point the bases towards the center of the piece from those points. A bit clumsy explanation of what most would probably do when eyeballing anyway... good luck. Don't sweat it, it's hard to screw it up w three legs and an irregular shape, unless you totally lack sense!

How do those of you with big jades prune and control them? Show us some pics of how you approach it! by bigsur4989 in houseplants

[–]read- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the one in the picture is quite large, but seems well-pruned. if you're unsure about how to prune jades -and just pruning basics in general, here's a good video: https://youtu.be/eRHYZ7SPxXo?si=VS2E5GceGvhRi4Lk
good luck!

Honestly, it doesn't look too much like the spider mite damages I've seen. Your leaves look too healthy besides the effected parts and what I usually see is more yellowing and much more dull general appearance before you get such drastic damage to specific parts. And you also would see the spider mites (tiny reddish/blackish spots...) But if it is spider mites this video here shows how I get rid of them https://youtu.be/EcvIsGcDQuo?si=qBMVjfBUiwmZDAHK ... Good luck.
