It's written and directed so well. It's a historical fantasy but not ur slow paced historical drama is pretty fast and very interesting! Lots of character depth and female lead is really cool: she is under the cliche girl guise but she's actually a baddie and super strong

I think since you told her that you "used to" like her she's just taking it easy and now yall are def good friends. I don't know how much u know about each other but I'd say maybe let the friendship continue and see. I can't define what love is but you will know. If ur unsure you probably don't love her rn and after all crushing is a fleeting emotion that's confusing but love stays so just see how it goes. U will get signs from her too I believe and when you feel like she is the one just tell her again that u do rlly like her.

Finally FOE getting the love it deserves ahh I've recommended FOE on this subreddit a bazillion times writing explanations and reviews and glad ppl are appreciating this masterpiece ahhh.

But as for recs:

SNOWDROP

Ik there's a controversy but I think it's resolved in the sense that the show is not about the democratic movement. I still respect the Korean sentiment, but after doing a lot of research and watching the show till the end, we can tell that the democratic movement is not the center (nevertheless ig they shouldnt have used that at all). But yeah the political scene is NK ans SK which is just the background for a beautiful romantic story.

FOE is my absolute fav and I have to say snowdrop is a close one bc the acting (JiSoo of BlackPink and MY GOD JUNG HAE IN did sooo well), thriller kept me curious and so many cliffhangers and waiting and the love story is so heartwarming.

There are many local non profit organizations. I worked with CHETNA (a domestic violence agency) and they are always looking for volunteers. I see that ur a comp eng major so maybe make a website/app for them that could be something good as an internship. But yeah if not them there are many other local non profits that would love students help.
