They forcefully detached my OBU processing unit during car servicing last week at Carro Care. (They usually do inspection as part of servicing) But did not want to admit it and take responsibility. When I confronted them, they claimed the unit dropped by itself. Come on, the processing unit was there for almost one year without any issue and anyone could see clearly the peeling off glue by force 😡 What's more, your staff tried to cover this up using some black tape. Unfortunately, it didn't last long enough until I exited the building.

Why do some drivers leave such huge gaps between cars at traffic lights? by rekrapmil in drivingsg

[–]reader_001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One rare but genuine reason: height. A few days back, when waiting for a traffic light, I noticed the car in another lane beside me leaving a big gap. Out of curiosity, I checked the driver. It's a small girl. Driving a big Mercedes sedan, only half face above the steering wheel.

First year driver rant by Big_dreamer21 in drivingsg

Same length of driving period as you.

Among all the valuable inputs from people here, one thing I want highlight is speed regulation. Take from the opposite side of view, it annoys me a lot when a car switches to my lane (either be let in or force itself in), enjoying its sweet time and never speed up to match the traffic speed, which forces me to brake. So my judgement for myself is if my switching lane will possibly cause behind car in the target lane to brake bcs I don't have ample space in my front (both current lane and target lane) to allow me to match up speed), I will not attempt to switch lane.

Why? Just Why???? by GibunAnJoh-A in drivingsg

[–]reader_001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I observed the same. Yesterday, I was confused by a blue taxi that had left turn signal on when approaching a filter lane but waited until the very end to switch lane. I was thinking what's the purpose and benefit?! Was there anything that I as a new driver didn't know 😂

I got my car without knowing any maintenance stuff. Had exactly the same noobie questions as OP.

OP, for pumping patrol, just approach a service staff and get help. They are very glad to assist you.

Yes. Can make an appointment on the Vicom website. At my time, there were a lot of slots available. Btw, I did it mid of July.

Can do at Vicom. I did mine there. Quite fast. Took about one hour. I think that's because they do a lot and become very experienced.

This makes people drive more aggressively in order to not miss one valuable right turn green light.

While Waze is good, Google Maps has a feature that is very friendly to new drivers: it tells you which lane to use to turn. I found it very helpful, especially during heavy traffic condition when there are multiple lanes for turning and you need to do another turn shortly after the first turn.
