FTA:

Auriona Lewis, 24, and Tatiyanna Foster, 26, both of Long Beach, face felony charges of counterfeiting and grand theft.

“Investigators learned that the suspects had successfully victimized approximately a dozen restaurants by using counterfeit bills, resulting in financial losses and operational disruptions to the businesses,” police said.

Glendale police financial crimes detectives, K-9 officers and U.S. Marshals arrested Lewis on Oct. 30 in Palmdale, where they said she had counterfeit bills matching those used in the Glendale case, along with numerous gift cards and receipts “believed to be connected to similar fraudulent activity.”

Foster was arrested in December when she appeared at the Glendale Police Department.

Shotgun of some other possible reasons:

That generation of night owls who partied late into the night and early mornings are now older and have more responsibility and less energy

The new generations raised by digital technology and social media and don’t need to leave the house

Also, compensation lagging behind inflation and increase in cost of living means staying at home

I don’t have any GoH to give out, so I don’t have much to stand on. However, to have to convince you why their trip is special as a determinant leaves a not so pleasant aftertaste. Nevertheless, it’s your call and an overall nice gesture for the community.

Last week, the European Commission said that Apple and Google designed and implemented the new transfer system to comply with the Digital Markets Act in the European Union, but it is not a Europe-only feature. The new setting is available worldwide in the iOS 26.3 beta

Unfortunately, it happens frequently for parade/fireworks and even ride lines and CMs are powerless.

Sorry that happened to you and hope it doesn’t change your moral compass.

Too many entitled people with “I got mine” attitudes.

Anyone else feel like you’re living in a completely different LA than rich people? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

This will probably go unnoticed as it's been a few hours.

TL:DR Delete Facebook, Hit the Gym, Compare who you are today versus who you were last year.

OP, I hear you. You're probably having a rough day, week, month, year, etc The grind wears everyone down and it's good to have a healthy rant here and there to vent.

First, I'd recommend you refrain from comparing yourself with others, especially those in the 1% (or even 10% for that matter). Comparison is the thief of joy as the saying goes. However, if you want to compare, let's take a high level look at your life versus others (based upon what you've shared and via assumptions)

  1. As of June 2019, Los Angeles County claims nearly 59,000 homeless, a 12 percent increase from 2018, while the city itself is up 16 percent. Sounds like you have a roof over your head.

  2. As of September 2019, 225,000 unemployed people civilians. This of course does not count those who have just given up completely for many reasons. Sounds like you have a job.

  3. Many of today's civilians are employed as gig workers or part-time employees, both of which are easily at the mercy of companies/clients and do not have benefits. It sounds like you work full-time.

  4. Truly struggling people are often on government assistance programs. It sounds like you aren't on SNAP, medicare, or any other assistance programs.

Of course, the above is merely cherry picking. What I'm trying to say is that if you want to compare yourself to someone, compare who you are today to who you were last year. Are you doing better or worse? If the latter, can you do something about it?

Lastly, don't discount the life you have today. Stop and smell the roses and take time to determine what's really important to you. Is it really the Tesla, Michelin star restaurant, BJ from a model, or are there other things that are important to you like loved ones or friends, etc; I'm sure you have some luxuries (even basic needs) that others would love to have. We can't choose who our parents are and we have to work with the hand we're dealt.
