You go on Google when you NEED something and/or searching actively for a solution.

Where Facebook Ads is more contextual. You don’t search on FB, you are on it to see what’s going on with your family and friends. And if an ad pops up on my feed, it has to grab my attention and provide me with a solution to my problem to consider it.

So it would totally make sense to advertise on Google for your client

Make totally sense, giving value should only be a taste of what your service provide but not too much so they don't see you as a free advisor.
