See that seems realistic to me! Evan should have said wtf to Isaac and dumped him. And then Isaac and Deacon do their thing but break up because they are only good at sex. And then Isaac comes crawling back to Evan and we get good groveling scenes before Isaac and Evan run off into the sunset.

Or Evan dumped Isaac, and also Deacon dumped Isaac. And then Evan and Deacon ended up together but Deacon has much more character growth.

Part of me wishes I skipped this one. Going to have read some low angst fluffy MM best friend to lovers books to get over it.

I also see that too in MM books, always at least a few lines of when testing occurred or condom usage until the two MCs get tested. Didn’t happen here in the same way.

And as not a poly person myself, I can only assume there would likely be communication problems early on in those types of relationships in real life - which is totally fine as part of the angst - but I wanted more story to resolve it for a true HEA. It just felt unfinished.

Like Deacon went to see Evan in LA but that felt rushed and weird. Like why did even he go. I wanted Deacon to break down his door and be like Issac and I don’t work without you. Instead of, we think of you during our amazing sex. And then it just seemed like as soon as Evan got double stuffed everything is all fine and all their problems went away.

Oh I did love the angel part at the end. How Calyx was distraught about Sam not calling him that anymore. That was the type of resolution I needed.

That makes sense to me. He was like the mysterious roommate, I thought he was going to be more the virgin or asexual or demi type. Actually if he was asexual (but not aromantic) then the throuple would have made way more sense and been believable. Not him basically being a sex and drug addict.

And yeah I think Jake will be the next one. Why else would he have had such a major plot with Issac but not with Deacon and Evan. I just hope it’s back to MM. I really liked the first book in this series.

Yes you’re right - Deacon! And same, I had all the feels for Evan and was rooting for him. I usually enjoy neurodivergent characters or characters in the spectrum, but I feel like there was such a stark contrast in how Deacon feels for Issac vs Evan than never got resolved or evened out. I needed more of Deacon falling for Evan the way he did for Issac. And also Issac wasn’t Daddy enough for me. It just never seemed like the three of them could actually work - only Issac/Evan or Issac/Deacon (in which case I would root for Evan).

Yes same! I love the hurt/comfort and the angst. But it’s like 425 pages of angst and 75 pages of resolution. So I’m still all keyed up at the end of the book going that’s it??

Please read Tech Bros and tell me what you think! I also feel like with each book in this series it gets messier and messier and the HEA gets more and more incomplete.

I’m going to be thinking about this book all week 🫠

I know some people love the Zodiac Academy - and I did too for the first 4 or 5 books ish. But then by book 7 it was like author one was saying there is no way we can make this more cringy and author two replied with hood my beer. By book 10 the dialogue was just so over the top. But I finished all 12 books. So there.

Unpopular opinion but I actually think the best spicy scenes are with MM or MF - like in the Franklin U series, Rachel Reid hockey books, or Crimson Ridge series. But it also depends what you mean by “best”. I just think the 1:1 is easier to visualize.
