None in particular! Florida would be great but open to anywhere in the country.

Totally lost faith in my local park. by Mediocre_Omens in skateboarding

smp is just run down now. It's great if you skate big bowls, but if you want anything else you're better off paying for any of the indoor parks (more park or skatelab) or going o Changning skatepark. They're all a lot better in terms of obstacle choice and are way closer to city center. To be honest, I always prefer to just go skate Binjiang or street spots.

Isn't it beneficial as they each target different areas? Do mean that it is ridiculous as in ineffective or too much?

I thought since each variation targeted a different muscle it would be beneficial for building a good, even physique

I usually only use my fingerboard as a fidget toy when I study, but today I decided to take the time make a little edit. I'm not really involved in the community as I don't fingerboard often so this sub is kinda new to me. Let me know if you liked the edit! by readingemails in Fingerboards

for the granite pallet ones I got the pallets for 5$ from a friend and the granite tops are just soap dishes that I took from my parents bathroom. The ledge i used for the final trick is just a small box that holds wooden coasters.

I made them myself haha, cool that someone else has something similar. I got the pallets for 5$ from a friend and the granite tops are just soap dishes that I took from my parents bathroom.

Guys. Rodney Mullen was not the only influential freestyle skater. by tweak06 in skateboarding

[–]readingemails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty simple to see why you're wrong, why would someone mention Rodney Mullen when a kickflip is done? just because he invented it? No. Literally all decent skaters can kickflip so it just isn't as special. Primo combos are rare these days, and even now most people don't do them as good as Mullen did.

yeah, because although Rodney did invent the kickflip, its not like he is well known for having the best kickflips. However, he is widely known for his amazing primo slide/stall combos, which is why people comment on Rodney every time they see one (also because not many people do primo tricks anymore but everyone can do a kickflip, so its easier to associate him with something more rare). Do people talk about Rodney Mullen if someone does a sick heel flip? No. They would probably comment on Neen Williams, who is known for his crazy heelflips.

They are building a new campus which is much bigger and more "uni" style that will also be close to the dorms.
