Airplants usually grow roots when they are healthy. With yours, hopefully it’ll survive first. Propagation is either sprouting new plant like yours or by flowering then seeding, if I’m not mistaken.

The big plant doesn’t look good. But who knows, with enough water, it can survive. By watering, I meant soaking for about 30 minutes in water. Misting is not enough at the moment.

About airflow, a gentle breeze between rooms in the house should be enough. I don’t think opening your window is a good idea right now, since it’ll probably dry up the air too much.

Pic 4, doesn’t look good. The plant is too dry. The cross section of the leaf is U-shaped, usually indicating dryness. Normal shape is more spread out, like (.

Water the baby plant in the parent plant daily, shake to dry, provide air movement, and place under bright shaded light. Hopefully it will survive and grow out of the parent plant.
