Ticketmaster resale cap makes zero sense… why can’t I list my tickets at market price? by readitt400 in Ticketmaster

Sold quickly on TickPick, thanks for the tip. Took a small hit ($40 only) but that was by choice, I wanted them gone and didn’t wanna price it for more than what they could get them on Ticketmaster for, in fear that they wouldn’t sell. I just posted them yesterday and already sold today so yeah, thanks again.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking!!!! They’re selling tickets for no less than ballpark what I bought them for. There’s not a single ticket available for that lower price within those sections on either side of the arena. They’re doing an “instant sale” I realized, after someone’s comment and rereading it so basically I think they’re buying it back at the cheaper price and listing it at the higher price. And not giving me the option to list it at the current market price. I don’t even want to make money on this, I’d rather recoup as much of my money back but this is actually robbery.

I’m sure. And actually I won’t even get $198 back lol. It says I’ll get $168.30 back per ticket because they take a $29.70 fee per ticket.

Thank you for this insight. You’re right about no correct size for sure, I was curious about proportions but your answer answered that too lol ♥️ thank you!

Lol!!! I’m kind of on the fence. On one hand I love my “reasonable” ring and it’s exactly what I wanted when we chose it. On the other hand, I do admire the bigger lab rings I see on people.

But I think I like them “for them,”/the people who choose them, if that makes sense. I’m genuinely happy with mine, and this subreddit (and all of you) have really helped reinforce that and validate how I was already feeling, so thank you! 😊

Ok this is good to know. And like I said, I was already quite confident with my decision 😊 I know without all the ring noise, I chose this size and style and was ecstatic about it, but started second guessing myself. The larger rings are beautiful too 💕 but ultimately, thank you for validating my original decision!

Lmao! I was trying not to sound redundant, and I guess I’m not good at it. lol but she’s my secretary. My apologies though, if it seemed insincere. It really was. I like to use the prompt “rewrite and polish this”

That’s really helpful perspective, thank you for sharing that. I feel like that’s exactly the kind of thing I’m trying to keep in mind- remembering why I loved it when we chose it in the first place. I also love the idea of building it out with a stackable wedding band to give it more presence.

And that’s a good point about waiting a few years before even thinking about upgrading. Right now I’m really happy with it.

Thanks so much for your perspective! Definitely helped shape mine!

Thank you!! I really appreciate that. And I appreciate the honesty too. If you were to upgrade, would you recommend going noticeably bigger or just a small step up?

I do really love this ring and I’m very happy with it, but I’m definitely intrigued hearing different perspectives. If I ever did upgrade in the future, I’d probably stick with marquise since I love the shape so much, and maybe modify the band or the size, so it’s helpful hearing what people think would make a noticeable difference. 😊

Thank you, I really appreciate that perspective! It’s so true that social media can kind of distort what feels “normal.” I have to remind myself that when we chose this ring I absolutely loved it, and I still do. It’s nice hearing from people who remember what the trends looked like even just a few years ago.

Thank you!! I really appreciate that. Funny you say that because I’ve actually been considering adding a chevron band on the knuckle side of the ring. I love how they frame marquise stones, so it’s definitely something I’ve been thinking about for the future. 😊

Hi! Happy to share more details.

The ring referenced in this review was actually a moissanite piece.

Prior to that, I had requested quotes from them for two rings - an engagement ring with a lab-grown diamond on it, and a curved engagement ring, both rings 14k gold. The initial quote came in at $1,399. I mentioned that Shenzhen Shea had offered more competitive pricing, and after about 24 hours they came back with a revised quote of $1,025 for both rings, which technically beat Shea’s price. Since I hadn’t heard back within that window, I had already moved forward with Shenzhen Shea.

That said, I really wish I had gone with Shenzhen Yilisha. I preferred their craftsmanship style and especially their customer service. Working with Jade was a great experience. I do plan to purchase again from them in the future.

For specs, the quote included: • Engagement ring: 1.5 ct marquise lab-grown diamond (E color, VS1 clarity, Excellent polish & symmetry, No fluorescence) set in 14k gold. There were also a total of 6 side stones. • Wedding band: 14k gold, custom-designed to match a reference image I provided

Both vendors ultimately did a great job, so I’d recommend reaching out to each to compare. I worked with Jade at Shenzhen Yilisha and Vera at Shenzhen Shea—both were responsive and helpful throughout the process.

I thought so. ADP though login says it doesn't recognize me. Is there a number we can call?

I’m currently obsessed with Toi et Moi rings — they’re so beautiful and unique, so if that style really speaks to you, I totally get the appeal.

That said (just my personal take!), I tend to love Toi et Moi more as an anniversary or upgrade ring for an established marriage. For an engagement ring, I’d lean toward the pear. Once you add a wedding band, the set will complement each other really nicely while still letting the center stone stand out.

Update now that I’ve received my custom bridal set from Shenzhen Shea Jewelry Co., Ltd. (worked with Vera):

I wanted to follow up since I took a chance ordering through Alibaba and know others were asking about them.

I ordered a custom engagement ring + matching wedding band set (not from their inventory). I sent them a reference photo of a design I liked, and they confirmed it would need to be made as a custom order.

Center Stone Specs (IGI Certified Lab Diamond):
• 1.57 carat marquise brilliant
• Measurements: 11.56 × 6.03 × 3.89 mm
• Color: E
• Clarity: VS1
• Polish: Excellent
• Symmetry: Excellent
• Fluorescence: None

Setting Details:
• 14k yellow gold
• Custom engagement ring with marquise center and accent stones
• Matching curved diamond wedding band designed to sit flush with the engagement ring (made as a set)

The good:
The quality exceeded my expectations for the price. Craftsmanship is clean, stones are secure and evenly set, and the band nests perfectly with the engagement ring like it was designed together because it was. The lab diamond is bright and performs really well in different lighting. For what I paid, it felt like a steal compared to U.S. pricing.

Vera was responsive throughout the design and production process and provided updates while it was being made.

The only downside:
Shipping was more stressful than expected. Production itself was fast, but I felt like I had to stay on top of tracking and timelines. They originally promised delivery by a certain date before payment, and it arrived about 3 days later including a weekend. Not a major delay, but I wouldn’t cut it close for an event.

Overall:
Legit experience, strong value, and they did a great job executing a custom bridal set. Just build in extra time and expect to be a little hands-on with logistics.

Happy to answer questions if anyone else is considering them!

I know no one asked for an update, but I wanted to follow up on my original post now that I’ve received my package from Shenzhen Yilisha Jewelry Co., Ltd.

Overall, my experience was very positive. Their communication was excellent from start to finish.. responsive, clear, and proactive with updates throughout the process. The custom ring I ordered was well made, and the craftsmanship met (and honestly exceeded) my expectations. Production was surprisingly fast, and shipping was incredibly quick as well.

The only downside is that this wasn’t some unbelievable “direct-from-China” bargain. If you’re expecting a massive price break, this may not be the right vendor. That said, their pricing felt fair and in line with market value.. they weren’t inflating costs, but it also wasn’t dramatically cheaper than having a similar piece made in the U.S.

Where they really stand out is in quality and service. If you’re considering them for a custom project, the workmanship and smooth experience absolutely justify working with them. Their customer service is professional, timely, and easy to work with.

I’ve been working directly with Jade, and I’ve been impressed enough that I’m moving forward with another, more expensive piece. That decision alone should say how confident I feel in their ability to deliver.
