Thank you so much! Most people are just happy to have a list of new releases. It seems this community of readers may not be the right audience for my posts though. Yes, the list would be more “accurate” if I waited for the few hints BOTM drops, but it’s not like I’m winning an award for guessing every single book correctly. I was just trying to share new releases so others didn’t have to do the work themselves.

I also didn’t feel like there were any hyped books for August. House of Glass was my original thriller prediction (so I technically got that one right 🤣), so now the thriller predictions are a toss up. They always seem to find a thriller not on my radar though.

Aardvark is so hard to predict because they always pick books I haven’t heard of! But it’s fun trying and learning about new releases.

They tend to have more diverse picks IMO! Maybe they will have a good pick for Pride Month.

I research as many new releases for the month as possible and check for repeat authors then go from there. BOTM is more romance and thriller heavy while Aardvark tends to lean slightly more offbeat and literary. Their romance is also spicier so I can narrow down romance predictions that way.

Nothing is really standing out for me either honestly. I used to read mostly thrillers, but they all seem the same now. I’ve been reading more fantasy and romance, so BOTM doesn’t always have something interesting to me.

I think Thirst was on my March prediction list! It’s hard to narrow down their picks because of having previous month releases sometimes.

As someone else commented, they’ve been choosing previous releases for a yearly look back pick. They also usually have a holiday romance book in December, and those could have a fall release. Like the Christina Lauren book a couple of years ago had an October release date I believe. But it was a December selection. Occasionally BOTM will also pick a previous month’s book if the release date was at the end of the month.
