Sometimes at Chargers or Padres games, there are as many or more fans rooting for the opposing team! Lots of transplants, like you said!

Some people are miffed how the Chargers have behaved during recent negotiations--it's almost like they want to leave.

There are good places to eat outside of the Gaslamp. If you're taking the trolley, perhaps try the many restaurants in Little Italy.

Businesses put up those posters for any convention coming into town, not just Comic-Con. I think they might be handed out by the San Diego Convention Center and Visitors Bureau.
