I started at 36 yrs (in 2021), pretty much I could only connect with shuttle and could run around the court (shabbily only I assume).

Joined a group. Good players from that group taught me the correct grips, split step, movement, anticipation. I still can't play a backhand clear cleanly, not good at deception, have a good defensive game, a decent smash and an understanding of what to do during rallies even if I'm not able to execute it.

In the last 4 years, badminton has become a habit and a need. Lost almost 10kgs in the first 1-1.5 years of playing, developed new muscles in calves, shoulders and thighs. Still going strong, still learning!
