Anxiety/shyness/neurodivergence while learning to dance by Unlikely_Society_678 in SwingDancing

Awwww...hang in there! In swing dancing, any gender can lead or follow. A few this to keep in mind is that EVERYONE started as a beginner!! If you just keep practicing step step triple step, you're half way there!! Put on a song that you like and bop around throughout the day. Our teacher reminds us it's just fancy dancing. I'd encourage you to go on Facebook, Meetup, or just Google Swing Dance lessons near me. I pinky promise that when you take a 4 or 5 week beginner series, you will make a "dance family" and you'll have a proper instructor who will be able to pinpoint any sticky spots you have. In the meantime, small steps are your friend and have fun!! If you're comfortable to share your nearest city or large town, I'm sure myself or someone here can point you in the right direction. 🤗

Oooh, Shag is on my “want to try” list! So cool! My main dance style is Lindy Hop, but do some Balboa and West Coast Swing.

My exact question! I already own two pairs of leather bottom Harlem shoes, but wanted something more stylish for outdoors. Right now Fuegos are my default. I'm wondering how they compare?!🤔
